Did you calibrate the RC sticks fully?

Yes I'll do it again once I get home to double check. I'll be following this video.

Is there a way to create a dead zone in  the stick? I have the same problem and nothing affects it.

This is the order I would try things to see if it resolves:
- Visually check the entire drone to make sure there aren't any cracks or that the prop shafts/motors aren't bent or damaged
- Compass Calibration
- Stick Calibration
- IMU Calibration
- Change propellers
- Refresh the firmware

For the compass calibration, make sure you are completely free of anything on you that could interfere.  This includes watches, knives, phone, headphones, etc, etc.  I basically empty all pockets and walk several feet away to do the calibration.  Also, make sure you are away from anything metal.  I prefer to step out into a grassy area to do my compass calibrations.

For the IMU calibration, make sure you are doing it on a completely flat surface and you take the props off when doing it.

By not flying straight...do you means the crooked horizon?
if so, try the "adjust gimbal" settings...

No I'm talking about when I press the right stick froward it will go straight for a couple feet then start veering off to the left and won't every recover

That almost sounds like a compass concern.

I'm not sure if this is related or not. But when I've done a compass calibration I have to do a little more then a 360 degree turn. Not by a lot more like 364 lol

The mid point of each stick is dead in the sense that it isn't sending a command.  There is a margin of error there.  If you started the AC and the RC sticks are not centered, that margin of error may be larger than it would be otherwise.

If the AC isn't flying straight, it seems to me to be either a compass problem or an RC calibration is needed.

Good luck

Mine is the same, i put it down to my thumbs, they never know what they are doing anyway, i could be slightly leaning to one way or the other, although, i dont think so, perhaps it was a bad fw update, but i have done all the above, its been like it for at least 2 years i think it is, no errors re compass either, there is quite a few with this issue too

When ever you do an RC stick calibration, make sure you push or pull, left or right too, then both all the way to the end of the throw.

If you folks are doing your proper Compass calibration, make sure it’s in an open area away from any electrical or wifi interference, ferrous (magnetisms) metal obstructions.

As well, Yes, sometimes you will be required to go beyond a full 360* turn around, to complete the compass calibration fully. It all depends where the calibration is being done. I suppose. . .

Could bad compass calibration cause the drone to not fly straight and drift towards the left when trying to fly straight?
