When you use the P4 or Inspire batteries, they do not allow you to recharge them after use.  They have to cool down first.  Mavic 2 and Spark does not have this.  Isn't this bad?

Why is this urgent?  Yes the batteries should not be hot when charging is started.  Since you know that what is the issue?

I just got done flying and it started charging immediately after.  The P4 and Inspire batteries don't allow you to charge it.  At first, I thought they were broken.

Hello and good day AntDX316. Thank you for reaching out and for the inquiry. It is recommended to charge the intelligent flight batteries of the DJI Spark and for the DJI Mavic Air until it cools down to near room temperature. Allow the said batteries to cool if necessary. In addition I will be posting some tips on how to properly charge the batteries of your DJI Drones. Thank you.

yeah, the newer batteries don't seem to have a temperature sensor on them (cost-cutting) lol

All 6 of my M2 batteries have temperature sensing/charge disable circuitry.

M2 is way better than the Spark and the Inspire.  Mad battery life.

my mavic 2 has always blocked me from charging right after a long flight..  flashing single LED which typically means temperature too high to charge.

Is there a recommended temperature limit when not to charge them?

Pretty much, if the charger allows you to charge, then it's ok.
But common sense could overrule that, if the battery feels warm, why then, wait 10/15 minutes,
If it's been sitting in a hot car, then of course, let it cool to ambient temp, then charge away...

The TB48 batteries won't allow me to push the limits of the Inspire 1 until the batteries have warmed up, which means if you just didn't come off the charger, you aren't going to hit max speeds.  Max propulsion limited to preserve battery health.

I got the Inspire 1 to fly hard but when you have your Spark fly harder quicker, it sucks.  It's cool to see in the air but gets old.

Yup,

If M2 batts are warm.....thet may not charge right away until cooled down..... mine don't!

Buy an Inspire 1 battery heater and warm the batteries up for 10 mins - they need to be a min of 15c before take off but the heater warms them to 30c after tens mins - then you'll be able to fly at max speeds.

Are you aware that batteries with a slight swell are causing the internal cooling fan to buzz due to the pressure exerted on the drone housing under the battery? The 2 batteries I have like this have only 30 cycles. I believe this occurred when I was flying in 90 degree weather and the battery became hot. I do not store them fully charged or discharged.

M2 batteries allow you to stress them alll the way down to 3.1V per cell on the max power sag before a full 60 seconds of a freshly charged battery used the next day.  The Inspire 1 doesn't.  It says limits propulsion for battery health.  Increasing the max vert is limited by the battery on the Inspire 1 but on the M2, you get Full power.  The logs show it.  The M2 batteries will put out and charge when used and hot that the P4 and Inspire don't allow so if you don't know what you are doing, it will bust.  Lowered max climb rate to 6 m/s instead of 8.0 m/s on All my drones.

Voltage of cells rose to normal values and went to 3.9V as I didn't use all the battery down.
