Hello DJI,

I was told that the Mavic 2 batteries are automatically discharged when idle for more than 10 days. I have a few questions on this.

1. Why 10 days? can this be changed?
2. How exactly does the battery keep track of time?

Hello and good day SupCarlos. Thank you for reaching out. The DJI Mavic 2 Intelligent Flight Battery has the capability to auto discharge to prevent the drone's battery from swelling if not in use. In addition the intelligent chip on the battery is regulating its volume at all times. It does not need to be fully charged or discharged manually on a regular basis. The battery will automatically discharge to less than 70% of the battery level when it's idle for more than 10 days. It takes approximately three to four days to discharge the battery to 65%. Also, the DJI Mavic 2 Series has no longer need to set the auto-discharge on the DJI Go 4 Application. For reference, I will post a link for the DJI Mavic 2 User Manual ( https://dl.djicdn.com/downloads/ ... _Manual_V2.0_en.pdf ). In addition since the DJI Mavic 2 intelligent flight batteries auto discharge (and slowly lose charge over time ), it's important to maintain them properly to keep them in good condition. Please check out this intelligent flight battery safety guidlines for more details ( https://dl.djicdn.com/downloads/ ... y_Guidelines_EN.pdf ). Thank you.
