Has anyone else encountered where the mavic air was in return to home and instead of returning home to the original point it decides to land over 100 ft away in trees? I cancelled the return to home but it also kept trying to land. The avoidance sensors were on and the flight was only three minutes with a full battery. Needless to say, my mavic air landed somewherein a alligator and snake infested swampy area.

Also chances of mist in the atmosphere can cause weird movements by a wifi drone.

it being wifi and mavic air, prob lost connection behind dense trees, had a yaw glitch just decided to have a rotation party on its own and then found a tree to snag itself in and fell to the ground..

Classic case of someone making a guess without anything to base it on and no idea what a compass or IMU calibration actually does anyway.

There absolutely was not a compass calibration error and no warning that there was an error. I wouldn’t have lifted off and flew it. I have the logs. Only error message was a high wind warning and that’s when I brought it back home.

And the wind speed wasn’t that high. Mavic air is supposed to take 22 mph winds
