My most used photo mode with the Mavic Pro is the AEB - 5 option.
It gives you just a bit (a lot) more dynamic range to work with.
Shot taken on the morning after the first frosty night of this year fall season

Interesting, at the same time you can feel the freezing cold and the somehow warm sunshine. Keep it up!

Yes I do, probably 95% of the time. gives you so much more flexibility.

True.
I'm not able to get so much out of single exposures.
Too much contrast in a lot of situations.

Given the time I like to do some comparisons.
e.g. Edit my RAW AEB's individually and then compare them to a stack. Sometimes with interesting results.
That being said, I then spend far too much time deciding which image I like best.

Yeah, true.
I know DNG will give you a little bit more headroom .
But not as much as AEB5 does.
By far.

Question, and I'm picking your brains here
In the live stack TAB, do you have a "Go to Option" e.g. Mean, Medium, etc or is it individual capture dependent. Or do you just create a pixel layer and adjust from there ?
From my perspective it is almost always different .

I don't have these options in Affinity Photo.
I assume you are referring to some Adobe product.
But I skipped those some time ago.

On the M2P the need is less urgent.
Since you have a larger sensor.
BUT, it will give you a lot more headroom to work with in high contrast situations.

I'm referring to Affinity photo, it's all I use. Maybe we are at cross purposes here.
Example from a 5 stack, see layer menu

I have used the windows 10 screen recorder to try and demonstrate. Unfortunately it dos not show the pop ups when recording the screen from AP. But hopefully the method should be clear from this short video.
After making your stack, go over to the adjustments section, click on layers, then click on the icon second from right, this will show drop down menu.

No problem.
I guess that we use slightly different methods with AEB to produce e.g. a pano
Still, there is more than one way to "Skin a Cat"

Sorry, should have said as it's not in the short video.
1. File - New Stack
2. Add AEB files in next menu. No need to check live alignment unless there is motion in the shots
3. Click OK and the stack will be produced allowing access to the live stack menu on the right.
You can then select or deselect any of the AEB files in the stack allowing you to see the difference it makes to the live stack

Ok, now that makes sense. We were talking slightly different scenarios. I go the impression your shots had an HDR look to them. But then got a little confused when you talked about stacks in your post, but were not mentioning HDR.
All clear now
