My gimbal sometimes gets stuck in fully rotated right position during the power-up calibration sequence (and sometimes - but not always - generates a gimbal error when this occurs). When powered off, if I manually move the gimbal to that position, I can feel it resisting as if something is adding friction at that point and it is not able to spring back without "help". Is there some test or check or cleaning or ? that I can visually perform, in case something is impeding full movement? I would rather not send it in if this is something that I can address on my own (without voiding the warranty).
I would welcome suggestions from other users who have experienced anything similar to this, as well as anything from DJI.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, thank you for reaching out and we're sorry for the trouble. May I please ask what happens prior to the said issue? Did the drone experience any hard landing? Also, can you please clarify if what is the specific error message showing on the application? You may recommend trying to perform the gimbal calibration to see if the problem persists? In addition to this, we would really appreciate if you can send us a video sample showing the problem for us to help you further. Thank you for your understanding.

I first noticed this after my 2nd day of flying a couple months back, and it's been intermittent, mostly not an issue but then happens again randomly. It possibly depends on the original orientation of the gimbal on power-up? The drone *did* tangle with a tree at low speed and low altitude and fell (from about 8' AGL above soft ground) during one flight before I first saw this gimbal problem happen, but it seemed fine immediately afterwards and there was no visible damage upon inspection other than a cracked prop. That's the only time there has been any kind of incident, other than forgetting to take the gimbal cover off a couple of times upon power-up before I attached a ribbon to the cover (which obviously gives the gimbal error as well), but it's for a different reason. I will try to post a video of this happening, although it's really not predictable.

https://youtu.be/uBX9ZTvoipc for an example of this in action. No error appeared on the controller this time, but recalibration was required to get full range of motion after it becomes stuck.

The warranty link you provided gives me this:

404
SORRY,THAT PAGE DOESN’T EXIST
OR IS UNAVAILABLE.

I also have DJI care refresh but don't want to waste it on a gimbal problem that is easily overcome with my finger during power-up, when I may have a more significant problem early next summer before my refresh runs out. In essence, it WORKS but it's just annoying right now at times.

Hi, thank you for the additional information. The period sign (.) has been included that's the reason why the link didn't work. You can click the link below. Also, you can directly contact our support team using the link that I've provided above if you already decided to send it in, you can also use your DJI care refresh with it. Thank you for your understanding and support!
