Hi DJI the camera is enough capable to shoot 4k 30p or 60p. Why this does not exist? Maybe you can add it with future firmware?

But if they would enable that, it would cannibalize on the other (more expensive) drones .
That is how tech companies work (and I can see why)

On a second thought, they might not have included a powerful enough backbone to keep weight down.

That would remove the incentive to buy more expensive drones.
Look at Spark.
Exactly the same things were 'hoped for'.
Not many were added and most certainly not features that are that important.

Not necessarily because this is a software thing the hardware exist(Ambarella H22). Is already paid.

So far DJI (and other tech companies) have proven you wrong.
There is only a handful of companies that add important features after a release (Fuji and Panasonic for example).
All the others only add bug fixes and minor improvements.

You really have to look back at when the Spark was introduced.
So many request (myself included) about new features.
So far DJI always kept a good distance between the various levels in their products.
Spark - Mini will have enough for first time / novice users.
Air is in between with the features you wish the Mini had.
Pro gets all the important features that pro's want.

They might include one or two automatic modes or add some new feature, but they need to have room for the Air, so the mini will never get too close to the Air.

I would be super surprised if it will go otherwise with the mini.

You,re probably correct but maybe because the chipset can easily handle the 4k 60 maybe they will suprise us.

They won't do that, if DJI add 4k it will basically kill the Mavic Air
The Mavic Mini sit between the Spark and Air, they can't add to much feature also consider of its weight  
Can't complain much it's just a $399 drone

They can kill air too and keep mavic mini mavic 2 and mavic 3.

Mavic Air has already been killed. I own it and it don't receive updates since many months. So who cares about the end of Mavic Air?

Maybe the Mavic Mini could do the 4K 30p replacing the Mavic Air in a near future.

The future is now. The first firmware update will have active track, precision landing, 4k 30 60 80 100mb/s more settings, more automated flights, waypoints, raw and many more...

I can guarantee you it won't have any of this.
That would break all DJI logic.

Mavic Air has already been killed. I own it and it don't receive updates since many months. So who cares about the end of Mavic Air?

Maybe the Mavic Mini could do the 4K 30p replacing the Mavic Air in a near future.

Just look at how long they kept the Mavic Pro alive while it was already outnumbered by the Mavic Air (in some aspects)
