Just got the new mavic mini
It flies but won't transmit video only still images.
It will be frozen on whatever image it powers up with.
If I change camera modes (on the ground or in flight) it will update to a new frozen image.
I get an error after a few minutes of flight about no image transmission.

Have you tried formatting card or changing card also maybe a refresh .

Is your phone supported?
What about firmware?

Got also this same problem with Samsung Galaxy S7. Latest firmware and fly app. No live video is transmitted. Only stills. Surprisingly it works fine with iPad so this looks like issue with Android Fly app. I already notified the customer service about this but no response yet.

May I know the model of the mobile device you are using please and are you using the recommended SD card for the said drone? I have the same problem with s7 Galaxy..frozen image..with and without a Micro sd compatible..

So what are the minimum device specs?

I have a samsung s7 edge.

SD Card is Samsung EVO+ 64GB

S7 is compatibile with mavic mini..do i Pay 500€ for see nothing?? Thank y i want my money back..someone help us

I think it might be your device and it seems to be a trend if you read above, try a different device see how you get on, dji May need to optimize for s7 edge .

I just looked... the S7 is listed as compatible...

I performed a factory reset on it to make sure it wasn't another conflicting app.

Seems several S7 users here aren't able to get video.

Same thing of mine s7 too.A70 works fine

I try with a Phone of my friend : huawei and it work..
This is a problem with s7..incredible..

I have the same issue with a Samsung galaxy s6 but my Samsung galaxy note 10 works fine.

issues with Live Video feed, its not working on Samsung S7, also device is overheating due to the remote charging it.

Have you tried to just open the app without connecting the remote?
Will just opening the app generate heat in S7?
Something might be wrong in the app or S7 which generate heat in device.

The heat generated is from charging, and there is a battery draining warning so it could be causing the heat issues.

At the moment the biggest problem is the no live feed video, hope this gets fixed soon as allot of people cannot try out their new drones..

I dont see how SD cards could cause an issue, because the live feed does not work even with the card removed completely.


Hope theres a app fix soon.

Same problem on Samsung galaxy Note 9.. before the firmware update it worked. Now it doesn't work

This is also happening with my Samsung A5 2017. Really dissapointed with DJI at this point. A 3 year old phone doesn't work?

1. What is your firmware version and the APP version?
2. What is the OS version of your phone?
3. The serial number of your drone.
4. A short screen recording of the issue.
5. Flight logs under DJI Assistant 2 (https://www.dji.com/mavic-mini/downloads) -- Log Export--Save to local. Please upload to Google Drive or Dropbox and then post the link here.

Your assistance would be very important for us to locate the problem, thank you in advance.

I know but that list wasn't released on the 2nd of Nov when I ordered. I went by the "Android 6.0 or later" recommendation.

For a good test , use plane mode to avoid unwanted process running below

I know, people ordered these drones in masses and found out later only a handful of phones are supported. The list even includes the S7 eventhough people are having this exact problem with it. What a waste of time and resources...

Same issue on Galaxy S9

Same here, freezing video transmission with Samsung Galaxy S7, wen connected i can see image but i lags awfully and there is a message “no transmission rth”
yo, DJI, we are waiting some fix for the S7 problems!!!

My Samsung 6S is the same , frozen video on screen , looks like the Samsung range is having the same issues even though listed as compatible

I heard somewhere that in the developer options enabling "usb debugging" would work. Can anyone test? I sent mine to be replaced (other issues).

- Aircraft SN 1SCLGA310502XY, Remote Controller SN 1WFCG8A0040AK7
- Log Export was not possible. Tried three times (two different usb cables) with DJI Assistant 2 and after multiple minutes of waiting it failed with the error "Export Failed, Please retry". Progress did not proceed from 0%. Firmware update was successful with DJI Assistant 2 though.

I tried this already with different USB modes: MTP, PTP, RNDIS.  Also switched around just about all graphics/GPU related options there are in the developer menu. No effect. Video stays frozen on the first frame just like before. With friends "LG something" Android device it works. Just not with this Samsung S7.

I haven't received my mini yet so I don't know if its possible. Is it possible to view the log from the DJI fly app? If so, maybe screen shot it or something? I do think you've provided really good info though.

Dear DJI, I hope you will fix Errors with Samsung ASAP. I have Samsung S7, Android 8.0.0, Latest version of App, controller,drone, battery. Issue is as described by other members above - I can see the picture but it is freezing. No movement at all and also shows no transmission error.

Regarding the logs, I have logs on my SD card, folder MISC/LOG  but I can't post URL in the forum.

I´ve got S9+ and after update firmware i can see only still picture aswell. If i start recording the video, shot is without any problem but live transmition is not working during flight.

Same issue here with S7, seems to be the last update because they obviously tested it on the released version

Same issue with Motorola Vision One. Freezes on the first frame.

Same problem with Galaxy S7 ( not edge ). The newest android for S7 8.0.0 The newest upgrades for drone and controller. When I try to fly without life view the range is about 5 meters! Errors with RTH also It's ridiculous!

Samsung S7 works ok on stock firmware, but when you connect it to internet,  drone is not working unless you update firmware. After update image transmission  is not working propertly anymore

They rolled out an update to support LG, Moto Z, Xperia and Samsung S phones. One user has reported S7 edge to be working with live video.

The apk download on the website is the same file as 2 days ago.
