If you have the Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 edge, does it work as expected with the Mavic Mini?

It is listed as a compatible device but I've noticed several users with a similar problem.

i have an normal galaxy s7 with android 8.0.0 and i was able to install the dji fly app ..
unfortunately i don't have a mavic mini yet .. so 'm not sure when it should / could crash ... during the installation ?  or when connecting to the drone ?
.. the installation was fine (installed from the google play store .. not frorm the DJI HP)

The problem start when you connect mavic mini with the app dji fly on s7, you see in the display only a frozen image black or when you try to take a photo or video the first image that the camera capture.

do you also have an s7 where it doesn't work ?
or is it something you heard ?

Same thing happens with my s6 but it works great with my note 10.

looks like i should not buy or at least wait for buying one ^^

I have s7 and it doesn't work.. hope they will do something in a short time..

@DJI Support ..can you say something to it ?
Galaxy S7 is a supported phone ..

does not work on Samsung S7.

Live video does not show up, rest works fine.

Galaxy S7 here.

Everything works, except the image is frozen.

REALLY disappointing.

I also have the Samsung s7 and am experiencing the same issues.  Plan to call support services tomorrow

wow...I'm afraid with my S6 when I'll receive mine. Hope Dji will fix it soon !

The same problem in Polish distribution. Normal Galaxy S7 (not edge) with Android 8.0.0. I have still frame where live view should be. Alter reset I have black screen till I take a photo then this photo is "still frame". So dissapointing nad annoying

My phone is not an S7 but a Samsung A5 2017 (Android 8.0). I do have the exact same problem. Here are my logs and screenshots. (I returned my model for different issues to be replaced). Hope this helps to get this issue resolved.

Do you have a smart or mavic pro?
Try to connect with them!

The problem is with older Android or what? I've got S9+ with Android 8 and i've got still picture, no live video. But on Note 10 with Android 9 is no transmission problem?

People have reported that it worked before they made adjustments in the new firmware to the video transmission.

Yep. Only happens after firmware upgrade.

That it is, what I expect:
It got developed for Droid 9 and X
But should run from 6 onwards.
It should ;-)

Another Galaxy S7 Edge here with the same problem.
Before forced firmware update the live view was working fine.
After firmware update, frozen image.
I am new to DJI, how quickly do they usually respond to such major bugs?
Let's hope they are not like Google, where it takes at least a million people with the same problem before they raise an eyebrow, and another 6-12 months to fix the problem.

Support say they have passed my flight logs and video to the developers so they can fix it.  I hope they can resolve it quickly.

I just received an updated version of the DJI Fly App via playstore.
Live View seems to be working again on my S7 Edge.
Good stuff!!!
