On my personal phone, a Samsung Note10+, the DJI Fly app works beautifully, no errors or issues whatsoever.  On a backup Chinese Android phone from Doogee (it has a 5,000mAh battery and runs Android 7.0 with 4GB of RAM), the app loads and goes through everything except when I ask it to View Camera after connecting to the drone.  It doesn't help that I've had to use multiple different USB cables to try and get it working, but hopefully they all aren't charge only cables.  When attempting to View Camera without it being connected (which works just fine on my Note10+ to adjust camera settings and other safety features), I still get the force close from the app, so I'm thinking it isn't an issue with the cables as much as it is something the phone or app doesn't like.

I have tried wiping the app data and cache for it, and also reinstalling the app itself, no luck at all.  The Doogee would work so much better for use in the controller than my overly large Samsung, but if I can't get it to work, I don't have much of an option at this point.  Has anyone else experienced this and solved it?  Does DJI have any input as to what I need to do to get it working?  Thanks in advance!

Hi, I am sorry for the trouble that the DJI Fly has caused. Thank you for the information that you have provided. As of the moment the Samsung S10+ is not  yet tested to work properly with the DJI Mavic Mini and with the DJI Fly application. On the other with regards to the Doogee mobile device. There is a possibility that the Doogee device will be able to work on the DJI Mavic MIni and with the DJI Fly application. However, since it's not yet optimized with the said drone and with the said application we cannot guaranteed if it will work all the time and if it will be able to run all the functions of the DJI Fly application while using it on the DJI Mavic Mini. For reference I will post the list of recommended mobile devices for the DJI Mavic Mini. Thank you for your understanding and support.

I have a similar situation - I have 2 phones, a Moto G 5 Plus and a Guophone 6800. The Fly app won't install on the Moto G, and crashes on the Guophone. I don't want to spend another €200 or so on a phone - I'd prefer to return the drone until such time as the drone works with the phones I have. I don't think this is unreasonable since DJI did not make it clear that the Mini only works with a limited set of phones. Should I just contact my retailer to do the return?

Hi. Thank you for your respond, I am sorry for the trouble, With regard the compatibility issue with Moto G 5 Plus, Guophone 6800 they are not yet tested to work with the DJI Fly however rest assured that we are still conducting test for multiple devices to be added on the compatible device list for the DJI Mavic Mini. Thank you for your understanding.

I wanted to buy some cheap phone to go along with the controller, this bugs me that I might buy a phone that won't work with it.
