I totally agree it is great news,  lets just hope its bug free unlike the Mavic 2 SDK that still has issues with the camera view.

New firmware is avaible now! How long does it take for litchi to work? And can Someone confirm that sdk is avaible?

Never used Litchi, but I will be using it unless DJI decide to update the crippled MIni and add Spark features into it.

Using the MM with Litchi would be fantastic! Please Dji do release the SDK

I would like to use Litchi as well.
Regarding the fact, that the FLY APP does not always work, another possibility to control the MM is another chance to get that thing flying!

I've been as patient as a I can waiting for full functionality of my mini and tolerating the NFZ and software restrictions. This was my 4th and final DJI product. I'll grab one if the new Autels or Skydios and phase out the DJI crap.

Agree with you. It feels like DJI didn't include AT because of obstacles avoidance missing. However, I don't think it's much safer with Orbit, Dronies...
To me it's more to create some sort of separation within DJI models (ie: if you want AT you have to pay a higher price tag)

I don't think AT would be a separation to the Mavic Air as the Spark had it. The Mini should have all features that the Spark had and the real separation from the Air would be 4k, OA and RAW files. Those are the premium features to segment the market from the Mini to the Air that more pro users will pay premium to have and hobbyist don't care to have them.
PS. My previous drone had follow me function without any OA.

DJI has no need to 'unlock' the device for third party software development.  I would really appreciate if DJI would allow development of the it's hardware to end users. I would like to see the development of way points and gimbal parameters for use with the Mavic Mini. The size of the drone with this functionality would allow the Mini to be a very accessible tool for use in mapping.
