Received the mini today , updated everything and did a small test flight.
I noticed some issues with the fly app( maybe someone already wrote about it)

I noticed the app doesnt remember the rth and the gimbal setting.
Each time you start it up , you have to change it again.
For example rth is set back to 15 m , which is imo very dangerous.
Or does someone has a solution?

Hi all, we are terribly sorry for the trouble caused, your feedback has been forwarded to our engineers and we have located the issue.
The new APP is estimated to be released next week to optimize this problem. At the moment, please make sure to set the proper RTH Altitude each time when you restart the DJI Fly or the aircraft.
We apologize again for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience.

yep , all updated , but auto rth altitude jumps back to 15m .
Also a friend of mine has the same problem.
i tested the gimbal setting again , but I have to correct my previous comment regarding this, the pitch etc is not reset but stays the way I put it (probably before I pressed reset)
but the rth definitely jumps back which is a safety issue

Sounds like a glitch .

I will report that mine is also doing this...

Also the aircraft serial number in the app doesnot correspond with the serial number on the drone/box. There is already another post for that, but still like to mention here

I am wondering how it comes that these professional dronevloggers and testers havent mention this or brought this forward , as they really should know and found this out with their testing. Maybe the beta versions didnot have this issue that could be a possibility.

Im sure these guys are overwhelmed with feature requests and testing, and a bit of patience may be needed.
They did not expect the demand for sure, so let's hope things improve soon, for you and everyone.

I used the iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone X .
a friend of mine used the iPhone 7.

all the same issue rth resets back to 15m .
therefore each time when you start the drone , you have to set the rth again

For the beta testers part of their job is to flag these situations, if they are isolated it’s difficult, also if it’s not there they obviously cannot, could it have arisen with last FW, only way to know this is if you can row back, I’m really of no use to you until I get mine, but as soon as I do I will test .

Mine does this as well - I’ll attempt some screenshots - happens after every battery change - even when leaving the Go Fly app open the whole time.

I plan on using an iPhone 6, it seems is more of an App bug rather than happening only to some phones.
Lets see how long for a fix.

Yes indeed, iPhone6 is working fine during flight with MM. Even with video cash. But its hard for my fingers with this tiny screen ;-)

Maybe also check if the battery of the phone is drained very quickly. I am using the iphone 7 plus and it looked like the battery went down very quickly. Have to do some more tests and keep an eye on that one

Just on this , I managed to test, set Rth to 30 metre, clicked Rth craft raised to 30m flew home, turned off craft and RC, turned back on app reset to 15 m , so flew out altitude 12 m pressed Rth and although app was now reset at 15m but craft continued to climb to my original setting of 30m , I only had one opportunity to test this I will weather permitting test again tomorrow, but it’s very strange .

OMG I have been trying to get to the bottom of this problem.

I have just noticed that DJI FLY App is not available via Goggles App store it downloads as an API file to the computer.

This is not looking good.

OBTW the Apple IOS is still there on Apple.

Maybe companies like DJI should not target only YT influencers but beta test their products with normal people.

I'm totally dumbfounded how the product was released to the public.

Better transparency would also help.   

Yes, this has been discussed a fair bit in the Mavic Pilots forum.
It seems to be an IOS thing, for Android users the RTH saves, with IOS it defaults back to 15m / 40'.
You are using IOS, aren't you . . .

The other 'bug' with IOS, is that the Safety settings - Advanced, it doesn't show the options for failsafe (loss of signal) on IOS, for hover and land, only RTH, but does on Android.
You can picture this . . . under a tree canopy, or inside an old building, and for some reason signal drops, after 11 seconds it will RTH.
With no obsatcle avoidance !

Loss of connection / hover is just great to have, in fact a must have for small drones where people will likely use them for tight flying.

Of course there is a list of compatible devices but nothing else.

IPhone 6 issue confirmed, RTH resets to 15 - more worryingly the app has crashed mid flight on all my flights when it goes out of range (100m) so far!   You then run the risk of the drone RTHing into something during auto return home.   CONCERNING!

I have checked that Rth anomaly, yes in your app it reverts back to 15m, but if you have set it at say 30m it will fly to that height even though app says 15 and then will Rth , so it’s only a problem with app resetting craft will not reset unless you go back to app and reset it.

ive got a better issue if the rc disconnects the drone hovers and wont return to home.. what i found is if you try an ipad it wont work with a aftermarket cable the connector is loose but with the stock connector its prolly fine i had to spend 150 bucks to get a iphone 7 its on the way.. my rc said disconnect and for 5 minutes it sat 500 feet away now if your are over a building guess what the remote control wont work if this happens it came back but only after 5 minutes and jiggling the cable... so dji you need to ad return to home on remote disconnect etc.. also the

yea i noticed mine to saying 50 feet rth and i set 120 then it says  50.. so i have to manaulyl fly it home or know how tall something is.. which i do

Aha Ok I see, they must have and must be fine tuning the app so more phones can be added to the official list.
