I have recently bought my first drone however it was stolen before even being delivered to me. Therefore I am hoping that there might be a way to locate it when the thief activates it.

When I repport it stolen to the police, will they be able to locate it once it has been activated with an account?

Surely this is a problem for the retailer or delivery company that was meant to deliver it?

As Ridg said, you should contact the seller and also the carrier. I don't think the police will handle this unless was stolen after being delivered (to your front door, porch, etc), in this case they would handle it as stolen mail.
Reach out to the store/website you bought it from.

How do you know it’s stolen if you haven’t received it.Who was the courier? Was there a tracking number ?
Was it bought new from DJI or a retail company or 2nd hand.
