since the Mini is fly weight at 249grams. wouldnt installing a Micro SD card get it to 250grams? I already know adding the prop guards, or even leg extensions will but curious on an SD card if that tips the scales or not noticeable at all in terms of weight

Adding the MicroSD card brings it up to 248.5g, according to my scales. My card weighs 0.3g

Then I'm curious, why would you care about the weight of a Micro SD card?

Possibly not, since an sd card is not essential to take off.

Just the sticker alone takes it to 251g.

Check scale calibration, which you may have already done. As TruGreen pointed out, if you have the gimbal  guard still on the drone, remove it. Remove any stickers that maybe on the MM also that isn't actually supposed to be there. Those are the some of the things that come to mind that might cause it to way more. Oh, and possibly the gravity index that netzweg mentioned could also be a factor as well.

Yes found out i left the gimbal guard on i do that alot as my previous drone never had one

the only people weighing their product is a few hardcore drone flyers.  a lot of people are laughing at us.   no other hobby does this.  lol

Take the Camera cover off. It is take off weight that counts. If you take that off it will weigh 248 g

read the mavic mini specs:
