Is there a way to enable raw image saving when using the HDR feature?  I just realised that the raws are not saved when using this mode.

Yea i found that but shooting in hdr saves you post i assume. The file sizes are small at 5 MB compared to 30 MB for the raw file.

Yea its annoying that you can't get the raw images from the HDR processed file created and saved as jpg.

Doesnt really give you the scope to edit later though which is a shame.

totaly agree.

A HDR file is a processed, edited file.  By its very definition its not and cannot be RAW.

You can get the images used to make up a HDR by shooting in AEB3 or 5.

Yes,  but I expected the raw files that made it to be kept, sadly thats not the case.

Just use AEB....problem fix!

Its not quite as convenient and i'll need to find an app to merge the files on mobile.

If you want to process the images as raw then use AEB as is being advised, you can create great images using AEB 3 shot or 5 shot, if your looking for images for social media then HDR are pretty good .

I was hoping for both, the HDR are convenient to post online whist being out and then when I get home process the bracketed shots for something better quality.  If I just use the AEB then I need to be able to merge them on the phone whilst out and about quickly.
