After i left the maivic air outside overnight (stupidly) to make sure i got rid of all moisture i put it in rice for 1 day.

After that I realized there is a grain of rice stuck inside the motor windings.
motor works. but will this cause an issue in the future? how can i get it out?

Thanks
Om

I tried that, but it seams like its jammed well inside.
Maybe if i could open up the motor for this.
But i do not manage to separate the shaft from the motor housing.

The rice grain may be swollen because of humid air. Toothpick?

Aloha Om,

Will a tweezer fit in and around the rice?  You can grind down the sides of a tweezer so that it is as narrow as you need.  BTW, that narrow tweezer will still be very useful.  My ground down pointy tweezer is one of my go-to tools.  I also have sharpened paper clip tips or sharpened them into a slot-head screw driver.  Those will easily break up a grain of rice.  Grinders and files are great tools for making very small tools.

As noted, the rice can also be crushed or carved with a sharp or pointed tool.  If you can break the rice or drill the rice, it will come out easier.  You do not have to press very hard to break it up.  Then the other suggestions will be more helpful.

Finally, always put the rice in a cloth or paper bag when you use it as a desiccant.  If you seal off the volume you are trying to dry, it will be just as effective.

     Hope this helps!

Aloha and Drone on!

Thanks! i realised I should have put the drone in a paper towel or the rice in a cloth bag before doing this..
Always learning something! haha

Thanks for the idea of filing down a tweezer, i have not tired that, i think that would work!!

Locally, you may be able to buy surgical tweezers.  The ends are already narrowed down.

Have a couple where points are needle like.  Great for pulling out fine steel splinters in fingers.

On using those narrowed down tweezers.
Be-careful while trying to grab rice.  Make sure you do not damage motor windings.

maybe with a small handheld vacuum cleaner?

Lacking a small handheld vacuum cleaner.  Have made one using plastic soda straw, duck-taped to end of a regular vacuum cleaner hose.

Instead of plastic straw, might be able to use a hollow plastic stir stick to get inside motor openings.  To pull grain of rice out.
