I promise I did not do anything special, it just started working for no apparent reason and  I was able to complete the calibration.

I tried again this morning and the calibration is still fine, no beep anymore. The dial operates the gimbal as it should now.

Go figure... Maybe it's a USB cable issue? I have no idea...

Oh My! I spoke too soon, it just fails again now, back to the original problem, I just tried to switched the RC ON again and it started beeping and flashing, and I cannot recalibrate because the dial fails now (again)!

That is SO frustrating

Re calibrated, beeping stops, switch off, back on , beeping resumes

to me it seems a problem on the firmware I would not be wrong

did you check the calibration of how much the sticker is off axis?

OK, I might see a pattern  there...

Can you try the following:

1. Turn OFF your RC, disconnect the phone from the RC
2. Leave it off for a few minutes
3. Turn the RC ON again without the phone connected (i.e. just the RC alone)

Does it beep?

For me, if I turn the RC ON without the phone and then connect the phone to the RC after it's been turned ON, it seems the problem does not occur.

Mine are all  0 as expected, it really is just the dial which fails, the sticks are OK.

have you tried moving them by calibration?

Oh bummer, you're right, it fails even without the phone connected now, so much for my theory!

So it's completely random, I agree that it looks like a faulty firmware which fails to initialize the hardware correctly....  Hello DJI...?

I know that the firmware does not perform the calibration, I do not know whether to wait for dji to resolve with an update or to send the product, dji please give us an answer as soon as possible

Can you try this:

1. Turn OFF the RC and unplug the phone
2. Fold the antennas
3. Turn the RC ON with the antenna folded

Does it beep?

Here, if I turn the RC ON with the antennas folded and the phone unplugged, it works - If I unfold the antennas first and then turn the RC ON (even without the phone), it beeps, that seems quite reliable as a reproducer...

It is sad that this problem DJI seem no piece interested. Although there are more and more people with the same problem and we all paid a lot of money for the drone!

My remote-Controll has also a shift on the left stick. About 2-6% to the top and right.

now I can't just get home I'll let you know, thanks my friend

obviously they don't know how to solve if they are silent

at least tell us if we have to send you the product or wait for an update, we avoid wasting you and us thanks

I tried the new android app 1.0.2 , calibration again and didn't help. The worst thing is , even when I calibrate before each flight and it stops beeping, it still moves a little in the air, and it wont brake at all when I let the sticks, it drifts thx to ghost input, or miscalibrated sticks. Only the right seems to be bad.

I know is not what you wanna hear but, I wouldn't fly the drone with a faulty RC.
There are so many things that can go wrong already with a calibrated unit, that I only see suffering if you attempt to fly it that way.

I mean that I wouldn't want it to be a general problem extended to many users

Well, i just got mail. Reply from DJI that for sure this is a case of hardware malfunction and that I can exchange the product by DJI or the seller.

I also have this issue, controller beeps everytime I turn it on for flight and the beep does not go away until you calibrate the remote every single time!

Same i am having this exact issue looks like i have to request for a return. Seems like dji have no solution to it

I've uploaded a video showing the issue for me and sent it to support as well.

If I start the RC with the antennas folded, the dial button works, calibration is fine and the RC is happy.

But if I switch the remote controller ON after unfolding the antennas, the dial button has no effect, the calibration is fubar (and cannot be redone because the dial is not working) and the RC is beeping continuously:         
   

Starting the RC with the antennas folded seems to be a workaround in my case.

only in your case in mine also with folded antennas does the same defect, I sent everything to dji

Did they give you a cover not for the dealer, ( here in the UK in my case Argos,) our just tell you to go and exchange the mini ?

Hello, No cover note yet, I got back a german email but my request was English   I want to write back if I have to send the whole fly more combo or just the remote. If the whole thing I might as well contact the seller and return the unit, buy a new one.

Did u guys try to troubleshoot using the dji assistant 2 ? They are asking me to do that and told me the sound was because my controller is trying to link to my drone. Despite me sharing to them i am facing the same issue as u all.

I still think it is faulty hardware. Ie the wheel or sticks are not in the centre when you switch on

you better send it back to the dji, like I did, the thing I hope is that after they've replaced the drone, I don't make the defect again on the remote control
