Wondering how others are getting on with using 2.4ghz and 5.8ghz, testing this morning, first I live in a rural area, with 2.4ghz I start lose transmission at 200m choppy signal gone at 350m so Rth , MM is rated 2k in 2,4ghz.
In 5.8 900m no signal drop out I went a further 450m with signal only slightly choppy could have gone further but returned. 5.8 is rated for 500m and I was 1350m and still plenty of signal.
Something is amiss here, something wrong with 2.4 seems like to much interference on the other hand 5.8 is simply amazing. You can see the area I tested in below it pretty rural.

Hi, thank you for sharing these lovely photos of yours. Also, it is normal that the 5.8ghz is way much better signal quality than the 2.4ghz. However, I will forward this concern of yours to our designated department for further clarification. Thank you for your continued support!

Just so members know guy around here goes by Hedgetrimmer, is now spending all his time downvoting, whether it’s comments or posts he seems to show no preferences, I’d give him a wide birth let him play his ridiculous game, but I will call him out when I see it happen .

I could never figure out how to tell who upvotes and downvotes on my posts. Is there a trick to identifying them?

So you're saying at 2.4GHz you started having problems at 200 metres, but when you locked it to 5.8 you got up to 1350 metres before issues?  And you're rural away from any other buildings?
I got to 1000m on my range test but that was on 2.4.  Maybe I need to try it locked to 5.8...

So testing out 2.4ghz on Friday I  was loosing transmission signal at approx 150/250m, using 5.8ghz I was able to fly 1350m signal was a bit up and down from 900m out but was mainly good, I still had good signal when I decided to return.

Yesterday I was in Galway City, I used 5.8ghz and flew for about an hour 3 batteries I never lost signal or had ANY drop outs I was flying Vlos or at least trying to, but again I Found 5.8 very good.
I think there must be a problem with 2.4ghz, I’m going to test with WiFi and airplane mode on the phone to see if this helps, using my spark 2.4 is so much better than 5.8 .

Ok. Interesting.  Guessing that's why in the FCC model they only have 5.8 Ghz.  Its supposed reduced travel is more than outweighed by the lack of interference....
Will have a test.....
