With all the new users the Mavic Mini appears to bringing to the hobby, I thought it might be a good idea to dust off a video I made a long time ago talking about how to not lose or crash your drone.  Hopefully it will give some ideas that will save somebody the heartache of that sort of an experience.

Unfortunately that won’t be helpful if you’ve got a compass, IMU, or GPS error.  In those cases, it will drop into ATTI mode and will drift with the wind. The only solution there is to immediately try to fly it back home even though it will be very challenging.

Also, the Mavic Mini doesn’t have a pause button on the remote.

ok thanks good to know.  i've come to rely on the pause button so it will become second nature, so i'll be prepared especially now that i've starting flying the mini.

Very fun video to watch. There would be much less drone fly away if people keep their drone in VLOS.  Be honest, are you still seeing your MA is at 1000 feet (330m) from you?

Thanks, it was a pretty fun one to make.  I tried doing something a bit different with it.  Not everybody has appreciated the extreme closeup!  Lol!

Depending on the lighting conditions, 1000ft can still be visible.  I'm much less likely to go that far with an Air compared to my M2P or another larger drone.
