Don't thank them just yet. They still need to release the geo unlocking firmware, or the drones just dead weight.

You can check on here if your in a fly zone with any restrictions based on what DJI  thinks.

I know I am in a low altitude zone. I checked that. But my question was the light patterns is that a geo zone warning?

Will active tracking be introduced in the next update? I know this drone is fully capable.

It won't work well without obstacle avoidance.

It already does a form of tracking in the quick shot modes, you can move when taking these shots and the drone will react to your movement and follow you

I'm also waiting for the late December update as DJI promised. I can't fly even in the backyard of my property. And the worst that the airport of my city is down and dead to 5 years.

I’ve just powered my Mini up & got the normal screen asking if you are happy to take responsibility for flying in a restricted zone etc, but then to my surprise the screen cleared & I CAN NOW FLY!!!!..
No firmware update noticed before this I just went straight to the App & into the camera view from my Mini & off it went as above.

I can’t see from my iPhone screen whether you are in a Red zone which if you are you would have to get permission from the relevant authority & submit it via the normal DJI custom unlocking site
I’m in a Blue zone & it also me the normal questions my Air does & you tick the boxes accepting responsibility for your flights & mine them lifter, I only did a small test flight as I wasn’t expecting it to work & was not suitably dressed for the cold.

I’m on the edge of the blue zone. There are no red zones near me. Yes I checked the box accepting responsibility. It’s the same as it’s been since launch day. It’ll let me fly for 90 seconds then auto land.

The response I got from an email today was "late December 2019" they included the year this time and also stated to "Notice the official announcement recently" ( I assume that means Look out for the official announcement soon) I think we'll be seeing the update tonight or early tomorrow.

I hope this is true, its the most expensive paperweight I have ever bought

At this point DJI will tweet the firmware will be release early 2020 and release it April 1st

This is the first product I bought from DJI and it will be the last one. I'm very disappointed not only with your products but also with your customer service.

Because technically it can, is it just a software issue. Also it should be able to have the follow me option despite the lack of sensors. Right now the quick shots shows that the drone is fully capable of performing this with no problems. Hope to see this in near future updates.

Way to go DJI! Keep it up with the updates and new features. This is the reason why I choose DJI products over others, because they keep adding improvements to every single one of them.

because the competion does... and because a panoramic mode on a 400$ drone is not going to affect the sales of the 1000$ because is not an actual feature you choose the 1000$ drone over the 400$

Flew around indoors a little and it felt a little more stable to me. Could also be placebo effect. No issues so far, in any case.

it's really stable. but to be sure, always put on the propeller guards when you fly indoors, and always take them off when you fly outdoors
