If you want to make a panorama with the Mavic Mini, I found a software that works good which is the Microsoft Image Composite Editor.  https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/research/product/computational-photography-applications/image-composite-editor/

To do it, all you need to do is a 360-degree turn with your Mavic Mini as a video and import it into ICE, in which it would automatically stitch everything together.  Here is my outcome with it.
(3840x1080 For Windows 10 Background)
Edit: Here is a regular picture I took the other week, and keep in mind the pano goes all the way around, I just exported it for my Windows 10 background.  (Had to compress to 1000KB.)

You can do a higher quality version by taking a picture, rotating a little and take another and repeat.   These can then be stitched together.

Ill probably try that next.  Thanks for the suggestion because that pano was a little low res because I cropped it and it was only shot in 2.7k, so with the extra pixels I should be able to get a better picture.  Also, those lights are New York City, and you should be able to see buildings so ill try again tonight.  I had problems with stitching the pictures but that was because I was looking at the wrong ones.

I was surprised how well it worked and it takes little to no effort, but with the videos you need a decently capable computer.

I was also surprised, being that it was from Microsoft, it was free.

I was pretty far away, like 10-15 miles away but I think you could still fly drones in Jersey City.  I might also try going to Jersey City to get better shots, haven't looked into it though.  I do know anywhere in NYC itself is banned.

Don't limit yourself to an ultra wide pano. Try taking a grid like 5 across 3 high.

Microsoft ICE will have no trouble stitching them together.

Also try several photos vertically like a water tower or light house.

It's an easy way to get a lot more resolution out of your photos.

There was a video abut Casey Neistat and helot in trouble with the FAA for flying his drone in and around New York and showing the video on YouTube.

Here's a tutorial that says you can. With the Mini you have to collect the images yourself unlike the guy in the tutorial who has a drone with a panorama option.

I may try because it looks like fun. The learning process is what I enjoy.

Im surprised that the police didn't do anything about it.  Probably many people get away with it.

I think the FAA slapped him with a big fine.

Another pano from this weekend, 16 pics. Not that hard to take them but i really hope they will add the auto Pano feature in some next fw update
