What's New?

• Optimized phase detection auto focus. Autofocus is now smoother when switching scenarios.
• Optimized gimbal performance when powering on with some third-party wide-angle lenses.
• Fixed issue: red noise appeared in D-Cinelike mode video in some scenarios.
  

Note:

• Use auto calibration after updating the firmware.
• If the update fails, restart Osmo Pocket and clear cache in DJI Mimo, and retry.

Installed with no problems  on iPhone 11 Pro Max which is running iOS 13.2.3

After the update fiasco.I think I'll still wait a bit.

I just updated. No problems found till now. Rooted Android 8.0.0 on a HTC U12+

Still no HDR video support like in the Osmo Action? are there any plans? come on, it's a basic feature in phones since 2013.

Still no DNG for timelapse... Would be a nice addition to the osmo pocket arsenal...

Tried turn on the OP with Freewell wide angle lense. And its working now...

Not test yet while walking, is it give more better performance or not...

The menu looks bigger now in my eyes... make me more easily to access the menu...

This update does NOT fix the lightning port adapter issue see by many in this thread

Same experience, update went fluidly up here. Glad I skipped the previous one (v01.10.00.20) after reading all the issues in ( https://forum.dji.com/forum.php? ... 3D593%3D&page=1), but after performing the update to v01.10.00.30, Osmo Pocket will stay connected to the lightning adapter supplied.

Wow so you can turn on OP with wide angle lense? That's so nice.

The issue I experienced is solved! No longer red noise with low light condition.

Autofocus is smooth but slow. I guess there cannot be a perfect autofocus. It could be right to make autofocus parameters as an option for the user.

Downloaded new version, went very well, iPhone 11. Everything I have tried with the Osmo pocket since download has worked very well thanks dji.  I know iphone 11 is not on
the list of phones.  The osmo pocket works well with iphone 11.

I just installed update and about to test changes.

Wonder what is scenario change means for phase detection AF improvement. Is it means the change of focused object? or changed light condition in the background?

Also performance improvement for third party filters. Is it means the gimbal motor power or control increased to coop with additional weight of the attached filter? Or is it means it can boot normally with wide angle attached?

I would imagine it would depend on the strength of the magnets in the filters themselves.

Please add DNG for timelapse mode.

I agree, very much like the gimbal follow speed, focus speed (smooth or fast) would be better as an option.

I just tested...
Wow, it boots up with wide angle lens attached!
The booting sequence slow down in up and down movement and allow wide angle lens to remain attached.

I tested with both Kase wide angle lens and Freewell wide angle lens.
It is just amazing DJI added a support for 3rd party accessories!
They certainly know what I wanted.

I found there's not a noticeable gimbal drift.  When I do a time-lapse, set point A, then set point B, then start record.  The camera does not go back to exactly point A (it does briefly, but then drifts slightly up within 1-2 seconds).

The release notes say to "Use auto calibration after updating the firmware".  I did a manual calibration, seems to have corrected the issue.  Maybe the release notes should be more clear.  Isn't "auto calibration" done at power on?

Should we do the Manual Calibration with or without  3rd party wide lens fix to it?

Which method will yield better results if we wish to use the wide lens always?

After update last firmware,, calibration using a ulanzi wide angle lens still failed.. Need advice....

Calibrate without any external lens attached.  

What you can do not is turn on/off your OP with an external lens attached.

Optimize gimbal performance.
WA lenses like ulanzi must be placed after gimbal initialization

I have a strange situation. With excellent WiFi or 4G, in Dublin while filming I got notification of a firmware upgrade. When I got home to Cork, with equally good WiFi and 4G I no longer get the notification. On checking the firmware numbers I see that I am at least 2 upgrades behind. Can anyone advise me how I can upgrade if the message never appears in DJI Mimo app?

Yes you can turn it on/off with an external lens now but you still do a gimbal from internal menu without a external lens.

I am using Aboom wide angle lens. The OP was not able to power up and calibrate complete and receive error.

I am using freewell wide angle lense.

No problem when Power on with wide lense or
Calibre with wide lense...

Maybe  the update was more specific to well know lenses like Freewell

I updated to the latet firmware for my Osmo Pocket and still have the same problem with my Ulanzi Adapter getting stuck at boot up of the Osmo Pocket any ideas?
