Day off today ,
so I decided to go fly the mini mavic on the Busca Mt., and film the little 'volcano' that is there.

It has been called a volcano since the Middle Ages, but it is not really a volcano, but it is an active 'methane fountain' at the top of this mountain.

The flight was perfect, without disconnections, and I was able to test some features of the dji fly app, such as the various quickshots.
Nothing special, but i had fun flying my little drone.
Hope you enjoy it.

Very nice, interesting as to know the reason it's called a volcano though.

Is it really a Volcano?
At first I thought you were joking and it was some barbaque with friends, but then I saw the weird fire, like burning gas or something.
Cool video by the way!

Video well done. This micro volcano is really natural, in ancient time more big volcano in this zone. I know the place. Many thanks my friend gfab71.

Thank to all,
yes it is natural, not man made, but it 's not a 'real' volcano but only a sort of methane 'fountain'.
It is known from ancients times here in Italy..

Thanks for posting this.  I'd never heard of this place or the "volcano".  Looking it up, I see that the gas being vented is hydrogen, which is amazing.  It burns spontaneously on contact with atmospheric oxygen, so nobody has to light it or keep it lit as far as I can tell.  That had to be an amazing phenomenon to the people who first discovered it.

For some reason, I am imagining attaching a stick to a drone, and roasting a hot dog or marshmallow by remote control.

It's a beautiful area, and the hydrogen gas vent is a wonderful treat to see.

Hahaha, i had similar thought... I imagined a barbecue with a small grill and a few burgers on the flames, in winter it could be a beautiful thing to try, maybe with all the snow around ...
