Yeah, I like the app too! I like that it provides a great winds aloft conditions and forecast. Can't find that anywhere else for free, at least not in such an easy way for free I mean.

You should always set the altitude in the UAV forecast app as a pre-flight check to know if its safe to fly or not. There is a big difference between wind speed at ground and at say 300-400ft.
As a note, If there is any wind warnings while flying remember to lower your drone to a safer altitude where wind is not that strong while returning to home.
Remember if your RTH is set at a higher altitude, fly your drone manually at a lower altitude and fly safe.

George GR, thank you for the information, had never heard of it, and was flying in San Gabriel today during the winds, MPP handled nicely.

I use this too,  one tip is to set the wind altitude as by default its set to ground and the wind at 300ft could be different.

Amazing little app, the wind compass is super useful and you can also set the wind speed limits as the Mavic Mini needs from the manual, truly useful.

I live in a cell limited area, so when I leave the house I can rarely connect to anything. This app uses GPS and needs very little data. It amazes me that I can get a forecast consistently!

I'm using this app for almost 2 years but it's not accurate. It helps you to know when is good to fly during 7 days, but the free version doesn't offer data more than one day, so you need to pay and subscribe.

I do get very inaccurate values from UAVForecast too sometimes.
So I also use an app called 'windy'. You can also go to windy.com.
It probably uses a lot more data. But its accurate in my area and 100% free.

I noticed that the wind recording is not correct
I think the best solution is to buy an anemometer!

I use it but use common sense. It may not always be accurate.

Could not see more than 50m in front of me due to fog, yet UAV forecast told me that there was 9km visibility.

Yes, my glasses were clean.

LOL, "yes my glasses were clean".  Most of the time the UAV Forecast App is quite accurate.  However, I simply use it as one of many sources to check before flying.  Also, common sense is a big factor.  Happy Flying.
