A new firmware update(V4.04) is now available for Naza -M.

What’snew?

Firmware

ü Added Max Angular Rate settings for various propulsion systems.

ü Added H4-3D or H3-3D adjustment settings including gimbalgain, horizontal and vertical angle limits, and FPV mode.

Assistant Software

ü Added Max Angular Rate settings and H4-3D (or H3-3D) adjustment settings to support the firmware upgrade.

ü    H4-3D or H3-3D adjustment settings include gimbal gain, horizontal and vertical angle limits, and FPVmode.

Manual

ü Recommended parameters for the Max Angular Rate.

Notes:

NAZA-M firmware v4.04 and Assistant software v2.40 are only supported by v1.14 or later H4-3D (or H3-3D) firmware.

Be nice if they made a mac version of the h3-3d so i can actually use the different gimbal modes. drives me nutty windows for this mac for that... i have the new naza v2 firmware but i can't do the gimbal yet.. come on guys !!!

Could you please explain exactly what a Max Angular rate is and how it works. Even what is the point of this setting. The operation of this setting is not me clear.

Why is flite limits removed? ore its new limits as we cant change?  Can DJI tell as true story!

It's a bug, MAC Version works. See here:

Please fix pc version of assistant, flight limits tab is missing..  Please don't change anything about the naza assistant except adding the flight limits tab back and possibley turning the f1 and f2 ports on naza into a dbus decoder that outputs pwm, that would make those ports useful for people running naza on quads and hexacopters...  Pc ground station can do it so it should be possible and would be a excellent feature

This function only for E310/E800/E1200, not a viable for E300.

The default max angular rate is 150. Set a higher value, if the ESC responds too fast and the inertia is small. Increae the increment at no more than 50.
Adjust the basic and attitude gains after you have set the max angular rate for a better flying experience.

I just built a DJI Flamewheel with the following components and do not see anywhere the pitch/roll etc settings based on my E600/4

DJI Flamewheel F450

DJI Naza V2 M

DJI H3 2D with Gopro 3+

DJI Ground station

DJI E600-4 propulsion system

DJI IOSD V1

DJI Bluetooth module

DJI LED

Can you please provide the parameters for the v4.0.4 (basic/att/max ang).
Can you confirm if my old H3 2D gimbal will still work with the new firmware - i understand there will be no control on the gimbal which is fine.

DJI support are telling me its advanced support who would know this but then say i can't speak to advanced support directly! I have to ship it to them and wait 6 weeks for them to enter these values for me and $$ me?!?! if i can assemble and setup i can enter these parameters - seems like the $2000 i paid for their kit isn't enough to get 2 minutes of advanced support.
DJI should learn to stand behind their products and support them like any other manufacturer.

Ask me if I will buy DJI again....

Your absolutely nuts putting the e600 propulsion system on a F450..  You need a 650 class copter minimum for proper pr clearance...  Oh my god that thing has to be insane!  

Also I'm not understanding what your issue is?  Naza assistant software has everything you need to set the naza for what your doing

Nuts? Its a personal preference and that kit is designed to fit on the F450 and suits my desired flying style.

If you re-read my questions I am asking what the settings are and now how to program the Naza, I'm aware of the Naza assistant software - thats what I am using!

Its very good configuration 450 whit E600,,   many people have 43min flite time,,,,,   i have a E600 whit F550 and extended arms,,, working good,, 4,2 kg 6S  16000mah,,, flite time 35 min,,,   i go down to 3,7 volt per cell,,,   I am also think  build a 450 whit 450 frame,,, its so long flite time,, and stady in air....  but first i am building a new one,,, E800 in a 800 frame,,,  Arris 360 gimbal and Canon EOS M3.....  be whit Naza M v2 fc

Tace down vertical gain to 100 yaw 130     pitch---roll  can you have 200 over
atti aslo 100 over its come to work,,, its very big thrust in this motor,, tace care.

Thanks will try those settings tonight, any thoughts for the maximum angular rate?

I am running the new 4.04 firmware which i understand is more sensitive so requires lowering the gains which is confirmed as I noticed the new PDF for the naza v2 m states lower gains for the stock motor config.

It was very windy today in Sweden,,,,  i have put up 04,4 in naza m v2  in my E600 "hexa" frame is 800,, 4,2 kg. i go stright up and stay vere,,,  and fly very good,,, i also see its better algoritms...  i was up 2X35 min,, 17m sek windy...  i looking forward then its no wind,,, I think its good update,,,  for it is...  go very stady

angular rate can put vere you want,,, its not working for E600...    only for this new motor,, e310, e 800 e2100

Hmm good to know the angular rate is not supported on the E600, that will save me from going nuts asking those questions lol do you also know if the angular values only apply to manual mode or GPS/ATT mode also just in case i change the propulsion kit later?

What do you feel would be good starting gains for the F450 and whats the biggest batteries you would recommend for the F450?

If you can borow lipo from a friend and try...,,,  but one 6s 8000 ,,,but 10 000 its better,,,  you shell not go over 2,4 kg....   its 600kggram eatch motor,,,   i run 670kg gram eatch motor,, and i have 35 min flite time....only to try...  Wish you lucky

Thanks very much, think i will try 8000 as that will be at the max weight and give me approx 21 mins

Currently using 3000 and getting 8 mins

after i update to 4.04 now i have a Error 80 message.
How to fix Error 80 after update 4.04 and
have continuously flashing red light but in assistant program all works properly, someone knows what the problem is ?

Some other has this problem too, but we don't got a answer from DJI.

Workaround is a downgrade to v4.02

Hi, DJI will release a new version fireware to solve it. Before that, you can degrade fireware to 4.02 with the V2.2 assistant of naza.

I know it's not a solution but I use VMware and a Windows XP image to run Zenmuse Assistant. Works fine connecting to the device even in emulation.

Indeed though, would be nice for DJI to address this. Seems they've realized that A LOT of their buyers are photographers / videographers who, by and large, are Mac users and all the newer stuff is Mac friendly but Zenmuse seems a big one to be missing.

Hi Any difference in the flight characteristics versus 4.02? Thanks, it would be nice to be able to set the return to launch height, but maybe in the future.

Questions:  1. Does anyone know how to get this Assistant program to run in Windows 10?
2. Why don't they put the new version on the DJI download site instead of the older version from several years ago?
I just got my new Naza M V2 out of the box, connected it up, downloaded the driver software and the Assistant ver. 2.20 from the download site and it immediately said it needed to be updated but has no indication where to find the update so I Googled it and found the link in this forum and installed the newer version instead.
Now when I start the Assistant and connect the USB cable to the Naza it doesn't connect and nothing happens!  When the program starts up it never seems to finish loading but stops and says Skip on the splash screen which seems a little odd but if I click Skip it continues to start up.  I don't see anywhere to click to Connect or any place to setup the correct Comm port in the program though so how is this supposed to work?
The LED flashes bright red when power is applied but goes a dim green when the USB cable is plugged in. A number of people on Youtube report having the same problem but nobody seems to have a solution to make it work.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

The DJI drivers are not signed.  The following solved this issue for me.
