Added feature to unlock GEO zones (requires DJI Fly v1.0.4 or later).
Added feature that disables takeoff when the GPS signal is weak (GPS <8) and the environment light is not sufficient. This feature can be disabled manually (requires DJI Fly v1.0.4 or later).
Added requirement for compass calibration before takeoff when the environment light is not sufficient and the compass experiences interference.
Adjusted flight altitude and distance in payload mode.
Added warning prompt for battery cycles.
Reduced noise during self-diagnostics after powering on.
Fixed issue: linking was abnormal in some regions.
Notes:
Note that the update may reset various main controller settings, such as the RTH altitude and the maximum flight distance, to default settings. Before updating, take note of your preferred DJI Fly settings, and readjust them after the update.
If the update fails, restart aircraft, remote controller, and DJI Fly or DJI Assistant 2 for Mavic, and retry.
Dji Fly app still dont work on exynos processors in Samsung galaxy s10 series and note 10 after Android 10 update. Thank you Dji you are great... I cant fly with my mavic mini.
Hi everybody, can I have more info about what as changed in payload mode? What's the meaning of "Adjusted flight altitude and distance in payload mode" in the release note?
Thanks
So far I see an improvement nothing related to what the update shows - 1) No problems with drone showing payload error when I have nothing on or around the drone - 2) No more over power warnings - 3) I am now able to take my CE version up to 50 meters and 200 meters away from me with out loosing signal - 4) I am also getting a bit more fly time out of the batteries - 5) The only problem I have is every time I power the drone off and power up again I get asked to calibrate the compass
Amazing, thank you for this :-)
Took my drone for a small testflight, everything seams to be ok. But now my drone picks 5.8ghz instead of 2.4ghz like before. Will try it for a longer test flight and see how the range will be affected and if the ghz change by itself when in auto. (Norway)
Thank you for the update DJI. You delivered on time (at the end of December) as promised.
Maybe all those impatient little babies will stop their crying now.

Be cautious when flying in low light on this firmware.
Please read this description of the video first...
"When flying in darkness with the .01.00.0400 firmware, the flight characteristics change without warning.
Launched the mini in Cinesmooth mode then turned out the lights. Yaw speed increased as did the amount of drift.
This was expected due to the lack of GPS and the inability for the downward vision position sensors to work in such low light, but the lack of an audible or visual warning from the FLY app is what may catch a few people out."
Reason for this video, is that many people are going to be out tonight filming fireworks for New Year's Eve. Cinesmooth mode will NOT fly as expected in the dark. It will be more like flying in Atti Mode with the yaw speed of Sport Mode. Please be aware of this before any more Mavic Minis go bye-byes before 2019 is out.

Made the update (both Go App and Drone), still can’t unlock restricted zone.
Where is app V1.0.4? It's not on google play!
The drone firmware seems automatically updated this morning. But I experienced some issues: more than 10min flight telemetry data is shown in the app almost blank (1s); return home cause a near crash....
Unlocking of blue authorization zones worked for me after this update. However, to get it to work, I had to use the sticks down-and-in method for it to bring up the unlock prompt. Pressing the auto takeoff button in the app didn’t do anything.
1) Uninstall dji fly
2) Delete dji folder
3) download the application from here is 1.0.4 (but it says dji 1.0.3 did not change it but in the file you download it will be 1.0.4)
4) Do the installation
and enjoy

Working fine on my iPhone iOS 13.3, Now I can unlock the Blue Zone to fly.
I think this update took too much time to only enable unlock GEO zones...
We're expecting more features like Raw, Active Track, Pano, 360, Manual options when recording... Only half of it I would be grateful.
Anyway, thanks for being right in time, the real late december.
Boa tarde, estou muito preocupado, adquiri um Mini Mavic e não consigo instalar o app no meu celular, uso hj um Moto Z² play com Android 9. O que fazer alguém pode me ajudar????
Kind of sad because all the Christmas celebrations and other events have already passed and I would have loved to fly as they were in authorization zones and I also missed my opportunity to go to NYC. At least I could try again next time.
Red restricted zones need to be unlocked via a custom unlock on their website. This has been the requirement for all DJI drones for as long as I've known their system.

Between federal and local regulations, there pretty much isn't anywhere in NYC where it is legal to fly except for a handful of local parks.

Just to be clear, the behavior described is specific to low light AND no GPS signal.
It will work just fine in low light assuming it has a robust GPS signal. It only defaults back to visual sensing system when it is at low altitude and there isn't a lock on the position via GPS.
Also, this is not specific to the Mini or this particular firmware update. This is the same behavior for every one of DJI's drones for as long as I've been involved with them.
