Is it possible to delete flight records that you have synced with DJI. I know how to delete them from the tablet but is it possible to delete them from the DJI servers

You could ask, they are required to delete any information belonging to you at your request under rules of GDPR .

They sell world wide they are completely bound by GDPR if they want to sell in Europe and that’s the law, you will notice that on all websites including those outside EU you are asked permission well that’s GDPR .
Of course you mat not be protected by GDPR when you leave EU .

In the app where you see your flight records. Swipe the record you wish to delete to the left & you will see the Trash icon.  Click trash icon.  Gone!

I dont belive that this deletes on the dji servers, even when they say this.
Also when you are in an blue zone and request authorisation you are forced to snc the data and at time thers no law in many countries for that. So why ?

Each time you turn on the bird it creates a flight record, even if you don't actually fly.  If you turn on the bird to update firmware, download a video, adjust defaults, etc., a flight record is created.  This means over time you can wind up with lots of "1 minute" flights, or flights where the only movement is the GPS location jumping around.  I always delete these sorts of records to eliminate the clutter.  When I sync my records, they are no longer included.  I setup a new tablet just this afternoon.  Being a new install, it contained no flight records.  After syncing, my flight records are there, but the deleted records do not appear.

Does this actually delete them from the DJI servers?  I can't say for certain.  I'm sure it doesn't delete them from the onboard flight records stored within the bird itself.  But, for me at least, it gets rid of the annoying "non-records" & they no longer appear.  If you want total anonymity, the best bet is not to sync your records at all, or create a stealth account that isn't directly linked to you.

For many years I have requested, to no avail, that DJI provide an option in the Assistant program to "Sync Internal Flight Records".  Why?  Because for me the majority of my flights are Waypoint flights flown with the Litchi app.  Flight records from third-party apps are not linked to our accounts, but the flight data from every mission is stored within every DJI aircraft.  I'd love to know how many miles my birds have really flown.  However many feet my record shows here, there are far more flown with Litchi.

As far as i see, it seems that when you delete all Flight Logs in the App they are not synced anymore on another Phone or afetr reinstalling the App. But if they are really deleten on the DJI Servers or just makrd as deleted is not clear.

Excellent information and thank you (The hat still worries me though )

So what you are saying is that when the sync is done the tablet/Phone is the 'lead/master' device and the server is the slave.... On some software you can set the slave and master but it would make sense for the tablet to be the master in this situation.

Interesting point about litchi which I also use

The hat is fully vaccinated and generally well-behaved.

As best as I can tell, our devices are the Masters.  I have multiple Android devices with the DJI apps installed.  The flight records are synced among all of them.  The Go4 app works well for syncing.  The original Go app is a bit more temperamental & often takes repeated attempts to complete a sync.  I suspect this may be because I have so many flight records.   Again I am not sure if the records are truly deleted from DJI servers, but at least the nuisance non-flight records are out of my hair.

Fly is new & there is an oddity with its records.  Fly shows my overall mission distance from all of my birds, but only my Mini flights appear as far as flight records.  Go4 says it has records for 10 aircraft (my Mini is #10) but neither the Mini (by name) or its records actually appear in my Go4 records.  I have not checked the original Go app as I haven't used it in a while.

With Litchi you can have your flight records automatically sync to your AirData account.  AirData provides some unique features, insight, & information, but it is nowhere near as detailed or useful as the DJI flight logs for diagnosing accidents.  AirData also costs money else you have limited record storage.

When you fly with Litchi your missions are only viewable on your AirData account if you upload them to the AirData website.  There is no log viewer within the Litchi app.  There is a provision in Litchi to automatically upload completed missions to your AirData account.  As far as your DJI flight records, Litchi flights are not recorded to your DJI account.  The bird does record & store the full flight data internally on its onboard flight recorder, but this isn't what uploads to your DJI account.  I have often wondered how much storage is allocated for flight log storage.  Eventually the onboard storage will become full & new flight records will begin overwriting older ones.  What appears in your DJI flight records are only those recorded on your device by the Go/Go4/Fly app.

This is why Litchi & other third-party apps don't appear in your DJI records & why I have been lobbying DJI for several years to create an option in the Assistant program to "Sync Internal Flight Records".  This option would synchronize the records of ALL flights stored within the bird, regardless of what program was used for flight, including RC-only flights.  You wouldn't think this would be that difficult to implement but it remains an unfulfilled request.
