I have found several APK files for the lastest verison 4.3.28 but fail to install on the Smart Controller. Android has the .25 version but Google play store has the .28 version but can't find the APK. Please let me know if you find one that installs.

SC is/will not receive simultaneous update as Android or iOS.
We may need to wait little bit more.
Anyway I 've checked  .28 or .29 on iOS system actually nothing specifically been changed so not a big drama.

They never update the SC we've always had to manually up the  go 4 app. My android phone updated to 4.3.28 saying increases stability. That sounds good to me.

Downloaded a 4.3.28 from the Google play store. But I'm a bit worried because the size of the apk is 94.2 MB, while the 4.3.25 was 247 MB.  Quite a bit of difference in size. I'm affraid that the 4.3.28 version has some feathers left out needed for the SC.

Anyone from DJI to help us out to be sure what the right thing is for the SC ?

Its a complete shame that we spent so many dollars on this controller only to find DJI has clearly abandoned any updates to software and apps. Very disappointed.

.25 works for me, no problems and nothing missing that .28 has. why would anyone need .28, or any other update if it has no added features, maybe the sc don't need better stability. mine sure don't.  .29 is out on ios, what am I missing out on, anything.

There are two kind of installation files  
APK+OBB = about 230MB full installation  from zero.
APK only= about 90MB  only update files (you should have DJI Go 4 app already on your device to use this file)

For Android and iOS  devices , APK files could be installed without glitch but SC somehow needs APK+OBB ( ~230MB file ) to continue the update installation.
That is my findings during various  trial and error.

Well they now have 4.3.28 listed on DJI download site but when you click on android to d/l it's still 4.3.25. guest they haven't finish the update yet.

Start your Go 4 app, on first screen click on "ME" button bottom right.
Next click on gear button top right.
Then "Check for Update"
