First time powered on my first Camera drone!
Everything is working normally. Thanks to the forum!
But I noticed that the fan on the drone runs almost all the time, and a fan inside the remote kicks in often too.
I was just setting it up in side the house.

Is it normal?

Same here. I guess this is normal behavior.

I'm assuming you are using the Smart Controller as the remote? Yes, the fan will kick on frequently due to the heat the Crystal Sky monitor creates inside the controller. On the Mavic 2, the fan is going on as there is no "forced" airflow when aircraft is not flying.

Hello and good day bonmot. Thank you for reaching out and for the inquiry. Ideally, the fan of the DJI Mavic 2 should always be on while flying or if the drone in on idle state. This prevents the said drone from overheating. Thank you and have a safe flight always.

Thanks for all the reply. All good. Getting ready to do use the simulator first and then fly!

Yes the drones fan runs as needed, especially when it's sitting still. While in the air, fresh air is ducked through the drone to help with cooling. Completely normal.

Thanks. I was playing with remote settings and DJI GO 4 App. The aircraft was just sitting there on for almost 30 minutes. And the bottom is pretty hot.

If it's a warm day and I'm messing with the settings on my M2Z indoors, I point a small fan at the front of the drone to aid in air flow over the internal electronics.
This helps in keeping the bottom from getting hot.

The fan turns off when you are flying but when it's sitting it will overheat.

That’s good to know.  It must have a very powerful CPU.
