La Carrasqueta is a Spanish mountain range located between the municipalities of Ibi, Alcoy and Jijona, at the end of the Canal Valley (between Alcoy and Jijona). Its summit is the Cras de la Carrasqueta, which is 1204 meters above sea level, within the municipality of Ibi. Its name derives from Carrasca and comes from Mozarabic.1 Between the mountain range, the old road of Alicante N-340 passes through the port of Carrasqueta (1020 meters above sea level and no more than 15 kilometers east in a straight line). It is a quite conflicting road port in winter because of snow and thick fog. It is also known for the great attendance of motorcyclists during the weekends, who come for its winding route.
