3rd and 5th are awesome, all in general but the dynamic range achieved in those... simply stunning.

Hello, in what way are these HDR images? The foreground is completely black. It seems to me they were just exposed for the sky?

Correct, A proper HDR image the whole picture would be evenly lit. This was a sky only HDR picture, 3-6 pictures of varying exposures of just the sky. The swamp below is uninteresting to me and I haven't experimented with panoramas yet, I liked the horizon look with Depth added to the sky.

These were processed in Light room Classic v9, I used Peter Mkinnon's quick guide.

The 2nd and 4th images are the result after merging the expsoures and the 3rd and 5th have one of my presets applied to punch up the image and bring out more of the true colors.

OK, I am wondering about the exposure. I would expect the dynamic range of the Mini camera being able to expose for just the sky - the number of stops of light in the sky/sunset would typically not be enough to need HDR. Maybe the camera in the Mini is actually of a poor dynamic range, I'll have to try it myself when we actually get to see the sun here. :-)

I might be misunderstanding you but the mini does well at only exposing the sky.

The mini's camera is closer to a cell phone camera and produces very flat images with little depth to them, when taking a picture of the sky on my a6000 the clouds have depth and there's more detail to the image.

Here's the over exposed shot: It's very flat, you can't see the sun, and isn't a pleasing picture.

Here's mid shot: This is more pleasing but still doesn't show all the details of the sky.

Here's the under exposed: Look at the sun's deep red and the light shafts,

So you can see why I decided try my hand at an hdr picture, I wanted the best of all worlds mashed into one picture.

I went out last night and started playing with panoramas and hdr pano's, will post back with the results of those experiments.

Went stupid crazy with PhotoShop HDR. No wonder we avoid it.

Played around with Panorama's and HDR can produce some interesting results:

I like bringing out the pinks but this might of gotten away from me but I honestly still like it, the second one has been processed too but not nearly as much as the first. These have been a lot of work but it's defiantly cool to see what's possible.
