I dont think so. I think the best price for the Mavic 3 will be around 1500€ with the smart controller and the beacon. Because it must be near to its competitors so to win the fight again

My guess would be competitive with the Evo 2.  But allow a bit more due to the trump tariffs that the USA will collect on it.

The Evo 2 is over priced in my opinion. Who really needs 8k?
Most computers can't handle 8k anyway.

Are you sure that the Smart Controller will work at all with a successor? I rather believe that some day the software will not be delivered or a successor will come, that the current Smart Controller will not work. DJI is not stupid, there is only bad service especially in the software area. Therefore I think that you will have to buy everything new. That's why I stay with Crystalsky and the old PRO technology for the time being.

I think the smart controller will be the standard version and optional will be the beacon smartwatch or similar to skydio 2

DJI use SDR (software defined radio) so it could potentially be made compatible. It will depend on whether they want to release a smart controller v2 for more profit.

Evo 2 has flat cameras and needs 12.  Skydio 2 only needs 6.  The only real breakthrough would be is if Mavic 3 has 360° active radar/sonar, 1" optical zoom, and/or 4/3" or bigger in the air.

Having C4K60 H.265, 120-200Mbps, 40MP, mechanical shutter, and/or Follow-me mode could be a good M2 V2.0 upgrade though if nothing else changes.
