Has anyone here tried the monitor hood that's for sale in the DJI Store? I was wondering how well it actually works. I have an iPhone 8 Plus and can't see the screen very well in bright sunlight and need something to shield the sunlight.

I've bough a boxed hood on Ax. Very happy with it but with some limitations.

My S9+ can blast the screen brightness to 11 and adjust the brightness of the image according to the light sensor. When the light sensor is shaded by the hood the additional brightness is not used (despite filling the automatic light scale) and image brightness alteration doesn't take place, thus partly defying the concept.
I think it's something to consider before any hood purchase.

I designed this working quite well but only for iPhone 6s print with 3D printer put some velcro on the bottom to help from moving

Yep and I still get reflection bounced off me... I should considering dressing darker

Required 3d printer also since i only use iPhone 6s
Fitting may fits iPhone 7 but not sure about spec.

Yeah I asked because I own a Prusa 3D printer and I happen to be using iPone 6S too
I've been happy so far, but it wasnt very sunny, and living in southern spain is only a matter of a few weeks and will be full on sun unitl next winter lol

So you can generate G-cod for your printer

I usually try to find a shady spot to stand (under a tree or so).
That usually blocks me from getting in the frame as well

Take a look on YT at one of Mr. Ken's videos. He makes one out of cardboard. Saves you 25 quid from buying of DJI who should have, by now, fixed that screen bug
