I recently noticed when I am flying the images go straight to my cellphone.

Before it wasn't doing that.

My question.

do I even need to transfer the files from the SD card?

Is it the same quality?

which setting to I need to change?

There is a setting in the app that allows you to cache a low res version of the videos and photos you take on your phone. You may have turned it on by accident. Check the app settings and turn it off if you do not want or need it.

The image files on the phone are 720p resolution, lower resolution than the ones stored on the drone. I believe they are there just in case you lose the drone or the files on the drone are corrupted. They may just help you find it.

Also, please be aware that there is a setting on the DJI Fly app that enables you to save cache files when recording. Please refer to the images below. Please keep us posted. Thank you!

For social media they’ll be fine, but always keep images from your card, these will look better you can improve how the look and for printing you will need these.
