The point is to not use controller. To not bring controller for vacation. Even not use smartphone.
Just take drone from the pocket, click power and done. It is very handy and quick for holidays trip when you move fast with few people
and no one want to waiting as you take all the stuff, try to connect etc.

Spark have selfie from hand, but group selfie is much better because 3 different views in one click / one sign "V"

Ok.
I never use those features.
Only fly by hand.
So that was why I suggested

Honestly, I have doubts there is anything new coming for the Spark.
It is a discontinued series.
Which works well with the latest firmware from , eh, mid 2018 was it, right?
Anything new added to it, now, may compromise the status quo.
Or: never touch a running system (Please ;-)

Propably you have right.
I sold my Spark , waiting for some news . Now with Tello
but i don't know if i not buy another / used Spark  or Zino 2
because new Dji drones not match my expectations
