I would consider a Ipad Mini 4 or 5 , it's smaller and easier to handle

iPad 4 is 9.7" IPS and Apple A6X, iPad mini 4 is 7.85" IPS and Apple A8.

What you wrote at the beginning, indicating the screen size, is correctly called iPad mini 4. But the pictures you were shown are correct, there is an iPad mini 4, it fits into the standard remote holders, you only need a long cable to connect it to the remote.

on the iPad mini 4, everything works great, and the stretched picture looks very good. And on this tablet will work everything that you may need if you have the FCC version of the drone.

Ipad 4 is different to an Ipad Mini 4

Ipad 4 would not work with DJI Fly as its only 32bit architecture and 1gb of ram.
