I plan on taking a DJI mavic mini to Guatemala (from the United States) next month for an Engineers Without Borders project with my university's EWB chapter. The project involves installment of a waterline servicing 300 people of a community. We would be using the drone for site surveying and to create a travel/project video promoting Engineers Without Borders and our university. Has anyone recently traveled to Guatemala and might know how to get any necessary permits or license before the trip? I don't want my drone confiscated at the airport either on arrival or departure. I read that I need to declare my drone at customs. I am a recreational flyer and have not registered the mavic mini.
I found the following links. Do I need to fill these out and present them at customs, and are there any other requirements? Would I need a representative of an in-country Engineers Without Borders office to verify the drone's purpose on arrival at the airport?

I emailed drones@dgac.gob.gt in Spanish and have not received a reply.
