I recently brought out both Osmo Pocket and Fimi Palm for a side by side comparison.
Osmo Pocket is shot with Freewell wide angle lens so mine a little bit of soft image.
But overall, Osmo Pocket hold more dynamic range in every situation.
In low light situation, it's no contest.
Osmo Pocket hold more light and detail.
(However Fimi Palm has less of ISO noice...)
In this image, I took some Lumiteriscope image.
Osmo Pocket Cinelike-D has more data around mid and shadow area, so it is much easier to bring it back in the post.
Fimi Palm F-Log is more like wasting most of the data around sun and sky but also has more of blown out area around the sun as well.
Shadow data is really limited and even if bumping the shadow in the post, it comes back with a lot of noise.
I am not sure if it is because of the scensor hardware or image processing software but DJI is handling this much better.
This is a severe vibration test using the Fimi Palm. From what I recall of the Pocket under vibration eg when attached to a bike, the footage falls apart. So what is the Palm doing that the Pocket doesn't do? It would have been useful if the guy who made the video had also tested the Pocket (which he had with him) so a comparison could be made in this situation. The point I have linked to above is where he almost drives his R/C car under a bus accidentally - and then does it deliberately. Classic moment.
[Edited to add that it seems necessary to go manually to 6'20" to see that particular bit]
