Can someone confirm if the Goggles only transmit when the Air Unit is powered. If you are using the Goggles without an Air Unit, do you need to have the antennas connected? For axmple, when only using the AV-in on an external antenna.

Also, I would be surprised if there was no thermal protection on the transmitting antennas, especially an removable one (indeed at this price point too). For example, should I accidently drop my Goggles and break an antenna (or the two upper transmitting ones), it will toast until I manage to remove power from the air unit - which might by 500 m away!

It would be good to have these points confirmed as having a removable transmitting antenna on a bulky item that is intentially designed to break should it drop is quite worrying.

You can see that it emits RF even when the Air Unit is not present in the FCC tests that are required for certifications. https://fccid.io/SS3-P1GS1902 Weather or not it has protection for no antenna attached I'm not sure.
