Thermal Mapping with a M210RTK V2 and XT2 640,13mm,30Hz

Hi!

Using this setup what is the easiest way to make thermal orthomosaic as I cant find the XT2 camera in the DJI Pilot Map planner?

Can it be done?

Using a Crystal Sky also.

Hey mate,

Can be done.  Need an large amount of overlap, and the thermal camera needs to be mounted in Mount #2, with RGB in Mount#1 (At least thats the case with the XT original, not sure about the XT2).

The RTK positions only reference Mount #1, so the thermal orthomosaic will have an offset, however, this can be rectified by comparing to the RGB orthomosaic.

Let me know how you go, would be interesting to see if it works with the XT2.

Looking forward to more info here. I've been really struggling to find a good solution for the m210RTKv2 and XT2. I'd also like to be able to use the x7, but that's another issue.

You can input custom camera parameters on DJI PILOT for the XT2 by selecting "Custom Camera" from the drop down menu. For the XT2 or XT based on the resolution you would input:

Zenmuse XT/XT2
Photo Size (Width): 640
Photo Size (Height): 512
Sensor Size (Width): 10.88mm
Sensor Size (Height): 8.7mm
Focal Length: Depends on which one is being used, and example would be 13mm.
Minimum Interval: 2.5 seconds

or

Zenmuse XT/XT2
Photo Size (Width): 336
Photo Size (Height): 256
Sensor Size (Width): 5.71mm
Sensor Size (Height): 4.35mm
Focal Length: Depends on which one is being used, an example would be 13mm.
Minimum Interval: 2.5 seconds

You can also utilize GSPro on iPadOS for this use case if you are looking for more advanced settings, would select the Zenmuse XT as your camera and edit parameters to match the above.
