Now the 48mp mode is actually the pano  horizon pic and the 20mp is a hdr pic. The pano has more detail but the hdr looks better.  What do u think?

It's not a good comparison when one of your shots has all of the lower half poorly underexposed and the other one doesn't.
You are looking apples and an over-ripe banana.

But ...
The Zoom has a little 1/2.3" sensor while the sensor in the Pro is 4x bigger.
The bigger sensor has many photographic advantages and is a much better camera.
The super resolution 48MP image is simply a stitched panorama.
You can also make a stitched panorama with the Pro.
The quality of a panorama will depend on the quality of the individual images used to make it.

If you want a valid comparison, all you need to do is compare individual images (similarly exposed) from both cameras.

I own Zoom and that is clearly not a comparison, I have shot super 48 mp and results are excellent , if you want better you’d have to shoot pano and I’d suggest manually in raw, you can shoot as big as your system can handle and have great fun editing .

I was not comparing the zoom to the pro, i was talking about the pros onboard difference btween the 2 modes and both pics were taken in auto within minutes of each other, although you can use manual but no raw so they both create jpeg pics one being 15MB and the other 8MB. Unfortunely the pics did not upload at full size so you could not see the wind gens on the horizon which in the 48mp you can. I am more about detail rather than exposure cause im not a pro like you so i have less worries about stuff as long as its in focus and looks ok im fine. A year on and i am still finding stuff with my m2pro.

Just as the 20MP single image will have more detail that the 12MP image from the zoom, a stitched pano from the pro will also have more detail than a stitched pano from the Zoom.

Which camera shot the 20MP image?
Which camera shot the 48 MP Super Resolution Photo?
You are comparing an apple with a rock.

M2 doesn’t have 48mp super resolution this is a feature of zoom .

Ok but 48mp is totally different on zoom and just as Labroids said it’s basically just a series of shots developed as a jpeg panorama , but it’s pretty good, but taking individual raw images and stitching a pano should give you much more DR .

Yea i agree but time consuming and im lazy and want the camera to do it which it does a reasonable job. It would be good to see the comparison of the zoom. It would also be good if dji bring out a new camera with zoom for a retro fit for the m2pro. That 1 inch sensor with an optical zoom. Perhaps its too much to hope for.

If you want a megapixel photo in hdr you can do it with Litchi pano feature.
First set your settings of the panorama mode, for example use a 45 degree photo, with 8 colums, 4 rows. (32 pictures)
Second go to camera settings, choose AEB, 5 shots.
Third, focus on object and shoot your object (you can adjust < the degrees of your photo)
Stich with your for example with kolor auto pano giga (AEB will be seen)

I mainly use the hdr auto but you can alter shutter speed, aperture and ev on the controller. You can also alter the iso from auto to manual in the app.

If you want the highest quality, shoot RAW, make sure to save the individual RAW files when taking pano, and then stitch the pano using a desktop level software like ACR, PS, LR, PM or whatever raw photo editor you use.

On first hdr pic altered ev to -0.3, other settings were on auto iso 100, F5.0, 1/240.
On second hdr pic all auto iso100, ev 0.0 F4.5, 1/200.  According to details on pics Hope that helps.
