Okay so i currently have the DJI Spark I love everything about it except for the only 9 minute flights. If i can get double that 20ish with the Mavic mini i would be so happy.

BUT.... before i buy one $500 is A LOT of money for me,,, i want to make sure i can use the app i need to fly the thing and I do not see it on the play store ( i have android phones)

I went to the https://www.dji.com/dji-fly site and tried twice on two driffrent phones ( motoG6 and a Samsung ) and no luck it downloads the AKP or whatever file but when i tell it to install it says Not installed.

can anyone help me out.

Thanks for the the reply my Moto G6 has 8.0 on  it and so does my Galaxy J7 Crown these are the two i tried it with,..
So did i do it right should it work from the site link i posted above?

i just ordered a Samsung A20 with I think 9.0 i don't know if it would work on it or not.

I have ZERO issues now on either of these current phones with DJI Go app working with my Spark why do they have to make the apps so darn picky is there any other app to be able to fly the new DJI Mavic mini with?

If your device is not on the compatible list, it wont be available on Play. I had to download the apk to install it on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A SM-T290. It works fine even though it is not on the list.

I have a Moto G6 Play and it, unfortunately, won't work.  I tried sideloading and still the same failure. I believe it is 32 bit not 64.  Often if it is not on the approved list OR won't work it will not show in the Play Store when accessed with that device.

Man there isn't many device listed.. i dont get it there is LOT more features on the Go 4 app. and it works great on both but a low down app won't work.

It's incorrect. With my S5 I founded and downloaded Dji Fly but it doesn't work.

It must be a 64bit device and OS... if you find the DJI Fly app available through the Play store for an S5 or S6 the manifest of the app is wrong. I think you need at least an S8 or later.

I know, but Google Play allowed download and S5 allowed installation.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 and it works fine. It has Android 7.0

Again I am sorry for this trouble and thank you for your support.

Just remember....  you may use only the remote controller of the DJI Mavic Mini when flying the drone. It will fly just fine without a mobile device attached, but you won't have access to the intelligent flight modes though as they need the DJI Fly application. At least it will fly.  I know that isn't much help......

Thank, yes I know it will fly but its zero use to me flying w/o a screen to see all the data. I fly Radio control planes, helicopters, quads, Run RC trucks, boats. I have aircraft now to fly w/o the FPV look to them.
Whole reason would be to fly it as a regular Drone with all the data. Love taken aerial photos and videos.
new phone coming tomorrow will try with it, so far none of the links have worked for me it always says

For what it's worth I had no problems finding, installing and using the DJI Fly app with a Galaxy S10 (Android) and then later an old Apple (iOS 13) iPhone 7.  Not that it really matters but I also fly RC helis and planes. No RC trucks but I do have a small fleet of 1/10th and 1/8th scale cars.  These computer controlled drones are impressive but they'll never replace the thrill of real RC flying.  

Not sure if you've already solved your problem, but I was having the same issue. When I installed the from the APK, from the DJI website https://www.dji.com/downloads/djiapp/dji-fly,to my android phone  it would go through all the motions of installing only to end with saying that it couldn't install. The solution I found was to make sure that I had excessive storage available on my device. Apparently, I wouldn't tell me when it needed more storage space when downloading an APK. Hope this helps.
