The other day I sold my trusty Osmo Mobile (1)
Why?
It very seldomly left the shelf.
I really had to push myself to pick it up and use it.
The main reason I bought it (motion timelapses) did not turn out well.
I often got errors, stopped sequences, unwanted shakes and the video quality was not good enough.
For 'gimbal usage' it was a perfect tool, but that was just a bonus for me.
I really bought it for motion timelapses.
So I decided to move on and look for something else to make them with.
Right now that is just my car and the same iPhone

No problem, I had a lot of fun with it and it is a super nice gimbal.
The new owner already sent me some nice video's he made with it at his school.
The only thing it did not do as expected was the motion timelapse feature and that was the reason I bought it.
I will be looking for a new way to make these motion timelapses

Thanks Woe.
I'm not sure yet.
I really want something that does motion timelapses, but have not found anything I like AND can afford

Fingers crossed. Although I like the motion-lapse on
the osmo pocket. I only used it a few times and it's way
better the osmo mobile 2.

I'm considering the OP indeed, although I do want to see some good real user motion timelapses and judge myself.
All the 'pro' reviews have good stabilization in post to get rid of unwanted shakes.
The real users show less stable end results.
Can you share some of your motionlapses?
Possible when there was some wind involved?

Yes. I purchased a package from Amazon for 399 and it came
with everything I needed plus some. Tripod, extension rod, everything
including Nd filters and 2 Sd cards.

Nice footage mate

Thanks AJ.
I really hope I can find a replacement that actually does motion timelapses good enough.
Maybe OP2, as OP1 not good enough for me (for it's pricepoint)

I love the stabilizer part, but I'm more in it for motion timelapses and somehow DJI did not give that enough attention since the output is still less ideal.
Maybe it is just a hard combination to make (gimbal and motion timelapses)

Yeah.
Well, I noticed I love the handheld gimbal, but never took it with me.
Since I always carry my DSLR around and I love how that performs, it is yet another tool I have to drag around and reserve space in the bag (which there is not)
So I left it at home most of the time and accepted a bit of shake in my footage.
Unless I wanted a motion timelapse. Because that is something unique only the Osmo Mobile could deliver (if it worked)
So I will be on the lookout for something.

Nikon D750 as of last November.
Before I had the D610.
Plus 4 prime lenses.
20mm f/1.8
35mm f/1.8
50mm f/1.4
85mm f/1.8

I used to have a zoom lens too 24-120 f/4 but I sold that because it was too heavy (compared to the primes) and not good enough.
So I ended up using my primes only.

The only drawback is that they don't have stabilization. So the micro jitter is present in most shots.
Especially with the longer 85mm

Very nice mate.

I would not want to have it any other way.
In the (far) future I might invest in a Z system because I use the body for both video and photography and the Z is good in both areas.
But that is still far away.
First the MP needs replacement.

That is the full frame mirrorless line from Nikon.
They have the D for DSLR and Z for mirrorless.
