Is that a water logged field or a lake?

its a lake that dries up and floods every time there is a lot of rain.

Cheers downtown much appreciated! i know the mini gets slagged off all the time but ya know what its not that bad! i know it falls far short of some of the amazing mavics with the high end kit but for a little gadget to capture some video and pictures it does great ! uve just got to fly it within its capabilities and understand how not to step outside of those capabilities.

Very true.  I have no complaints on the MM as it meets or exceeds what expectations I had for it.  Keep it safe out there.

You had me at "trains".  I am an avid railfan and got my Mini for such!  Then you added "nature" Bravo!!!!

The Mini should allow me more access to those "sweet spots"  as trains snake though nature!

Excellent footage, I like the latter train... wondering what it is.

The second train was a Northern (which is the operating company) Sprinter (which is the 'branding' of the  of Diesel Multiple Unit - actually a Class 158 if we are really going to get down and dirty with the technicalities!!). The third train was a CrossCountry Voyager.

Thus the Class 220 Voyager is a Belgian built train (under the Canadian multinational Bombardier) and is already 20 years old... time flies!

And yet I wasn't arrived at British Rail Class 221 which is a tilting train much like the pioneering Italian Pendolino (from the word -pendulum-, latin: -penduli-, standing for titling). I am fascinated by the italian Pendolino as I recall it speeding through the Italian countryside before the high speed railway was buit... and it is one of the most iconic piece of Italian engineering and design.

Great job nice subject, I’m getting approx 20min landing with 25% but seem to get better above 4/5 battery uses.

I’m on about 6 recharges but  seem to get a quick battery drop on mine! I can be hovering with 40 % as a for instance next thing instantly drops to 20 and gives me the battery low warning ! I recon 10 minutes max out of each ! I’m wondering if the batteries may need a few more full cycles to bring them up to full !

I got the fly more pack so was lucky to get 3 batteries ! 10-12 minutes I think but would need to do a proper test I’m going to have a look through the flight logs later to get a rough guide well according to the dji fly app yesterday I got 57 minutes out of the 3 batteries? Didn’t seem that long

Yeah, 3 batteries is minimum.
That is not as expected.
But you have to remember that time 'flies' when you are having fun.
For me it always feels like only a short time, when in reality I have spend 20 minutes in the air. (Mavic Pro).

Only when possible of course.

Am always very cautious when flying near transport infrastructure! i try to stay at least 150 metres away to give me time if i encounter any issues with the drone. and whilst its nice getting the train in the shot its also nice to get the surrounding countryside which you would lose if you start getting closer to the train.

Nicely done,  here in the UK too so know how you feel.

hi ya buddy hope your well and staying safe. Yes was nice to get out here in yorkshire for a few hours with the mini yesterday, and a bonus to see nice scenery and some nice trains passing which is a bonus, then again it helps if you set up at the side of a railway line lol!

windy here today 16mph gusting 29mph so think its a stay in day !

Yeah, it is best to keep some distance.
However, I try to also include shots that are a bit closer (more like 70m or so, which is still more than the required minimum of 50m here in NL)
