Hello DJI,
I have lived in Chartres for several years and i'm contacting you because I want to fly my Mavic Pro in the city of Chartres (France).

However, we have a red Level: Restricted Zones, Type: Prison

This prison was closed in 2014, we are in 2020, so it's been 6 years now. I would like to know when you think you can update the GEO to be able to use our drones to finally have an image of our city

Thank you so much,

Nicolas

There is a solution for the M2P but its about 50 bucks and I don't dance running custom firmware.

A lot of the areas that are marked as Geo-restricted aren't. I know one bloke who is tearing his hair out in frustration because the individuals responsible for the geofencing just seem to trawl Google Earth and look for straight lines to include just for the hell of it. He has to deal with an aerodrome on his doorstep..... which has been abandoned for the last 60 years. This is something that drives me nuts as well. Anyone with half a brain knows that you don't tear-arse around like a quarry-racer or go for close-ups of faces in airbus windows. But geofencing needs to be applied intelligently
