Had a first MM flight today on the latest FlyApp for Android.

No problems at all.
Many rapid manoeuvres in Sport mode ; did kept his height.

What i noticed : my mobile device started to vibrate when a high wind warning appeared on the screen.

Uninstall Dji App from your phone. Now you can download 1.0.8 from Google Play

Nice to know.
Now they should make two more options: after 1) the device vibrates for the first warning, 2) the device vibrates and sounds for the 2nd wind warning, 3) the device EXPLODES after a 10 seconds countdown...

just tried this and i can confirm it works in uk also, annoying how it wouldn't update automatically

There is no firmware at the moment, but yes, you need to upgrade everything

Uninstalled fly app, re-installed and it's still version 1.0.6

DJI Fly iOS is still at 1.0.6 in the US app store.

no 1.0.8 in Switzerland either... i know they release it gradually, but this is ridiculous....more than 3 days... it seems it is selectively released based on the stars or whatsoever other cr*p

it is for ios also, it is just i guess even the update is as crappy and takes decades to appear:


i am waiting it and cannot fly until i get it as i want to see if all the crashes and issues are fixed and i am tired of flying with so many bugs, but no luck so far. They didn't even put the update on their own site!

It's not yet available here in the US; I keep checking every few hours.  I'm really hoping for at least a dark background behind the  GPS, battery, flight time, etc at the top of the screen.

Mine updated a few hours ago and it shows 1.08 on the Playstore.

Us, FL, S9 w/ Android 10.

Hopefully for the IOS soon. Hint Hint

thought about going flying today because of zero wind, still on 1.0.6.  thought about waiting for update but i went anyway.  had a blast, this drone really flies well when there is no wind.  the flags were literally laying against the 200 feet construction crane as opposed to earlier this year flapping wide open in gale force winds and we're talking about huge american flags.  sport mode 50% of the time. used 4 batteries. if there are bugs, i didn't see them today.  full throttle.  still would love to see 1.0.8 soon for this weekend.

Had also updated my DJI Fly App from Play store and did notice a new safety feature "Signal Lost - RTH, Decend or Hover" in Advance Safety Settings.
I was tried on the new feature and it working as expected by switch off the RC. Couldn't try on the "strong wind optimization" as there are just a little to no wind now.

This wait must have something to do with your device. I was able to update my Samsung S6 when it was first available. Maybe they are testing on various devices before allowing installation.

Ooopps, I guess you guys are talking about iOS. Carry on ;-)

Once again, the update considers only APP-CRASHES!!!
If you have hardware issues, wait until the next firmware.

OMG I think that is not a good option to have. It leaves opportunity for people to set it on descend or hover and lose signal. The craft has no chance of coming back in range anymore and when it is physically impossible to move forward to get the signal back this becomes a bad bad situation.

Takes only minor change on the FlyApp code....wish DJI would react faster on customers support.

totally agree, such small change to be omitted is really surprising, given the fact how many people complained. With this speed probably it will take them an year...until all the other things are fixed.

i was thinking exactly the same...descend seems like go crash command, probably it will have an altitude to be set, but still...and hover is like wait there until i get close...if i can and if not get lost. I gues they want to spice up the lifes of the pilots, make it more challenging not to lose the drone

In addition, White Balance is available now.

How do you know it's for iOS also? I've followed this entire thread and every single person reporting the new version available has been on Android. On the AppStore, the update appears within a couple of hours after the developer releases it, assuming they already had it approved.

Was the drone connected to the app when you took those screenshots? The various RTH options were always in the app, but only when the drone was not connected. Once the drone connects, only the normal RTH option remains available, which tells me the drone itself doesn't support those other modes so I don't think they can be added without a firmware update. Unless those extra features were actually disabled from the app for the Mini, I guess that's possible.

Well, that's pretty cool Now I actually want the update on iOS ))) Really strange of DJI to not mention this new features in the app's changelog....
