How long can you keep it on w/o it breaking?  I'm thinking about having it as a doorbell camera with a heatsink fan on top connected to a wall outlet.

Why not add a motion sensor to turn it on when movement is detected.

most of their stuff has a hard enough time doing what is was DESIGNED to do.. only a sadist would want to take an expensive low latency FPV/radio control link and hack it to do what a $29 wifi cam can do.. better since it has audio...   must be a slow day around his basement

I was using it on the Betaflight quad but when it frequency switches and gets lost there is a huge cut-out which you cannot handle when flying at 100mph+ in freestyle.  Analog is more reliable as you can actually fly through the bad feed until it returns.  You go from clear feed to Grey feed w/ no RTH and no GPS hold.
