Hi All,
I'm sure many of you are already aware of the 2 new features DJI added to the Mavic Mini in DJI Fly 1.0.8.  I put together a little video talking about these new features as well as a test of the 3 different Signal Loss options.

Hope everybody is doing well in these crazy times and is able to get out and go fly it!

Great info.

Leaving at Rth is best advice, so many drones lost because user forgot to change back from hover/land to Rth . You also have new vibration wind warning. Good job on the video.

One further information flying indoors:

I did a test indoor (not connected to GPS, because it is not possible there, no homepoint). I activated RTH in case of signal loss. The MM was 5 meters and 2 meters high hovering away. I disconnected the RC. The MM stayed on the same height and landed after about 10 seconds normally.

If I press the RTH button in exactly this situation with connected RC, the following message appears: No GPS, RTH not possible, fly back manually. The MM stays in place and does not land and waits for the next command.

Be careful with that, you might be in for a surprise if you fly by a window and it gets a bit of gps signal...

I thought that the MM would land immediately if it is less than 20 meters away (even if it would connect to GPS in this case).  Am I wrong? I am never more than 20 meters away indoors.

a weak gps signal caught out the window could easily show the drone farther away than 20m It's not a likely scenario, but... better safe than sorry

You’re correct in fact Mavic mini will land for both weak gps and because it’s within 20m.

I agree, an intermittent GPS signal sometimes can be more dangerous than no GPS signal at all.
