No. There are sink holes and mine collapses all over. Some say the whole place is contaminated with lead from the chat, others say the epa did not find any lead so the chat is ok to use in asphalt roads. They use it for asphalt roads. There are major places blocked off because the streets are falling in.

Outstanding footage. So sad to see what is left after the zinc and lead was mined out. Hopefully the EPA continues to monitor the Chat wastes that were contaminated with lead and zinc in the past. I've heard that chat can be used to improve traction on snow-covered roads and had been used in highway construction and even some concrete production so at least some good became of all that waste.
