Starting March 31st, 2020, to fly a drone in Taiwan, it must have to be registered, sollofing similar rules as USA and Europe.
Becasue the regustration site is all in Chinese, is quite difficult for foreigners living in Taiwan, due the language barrier.
So i made a video tutorial step by step on how to do the registration.

I hope this to be helpfull

Hi, thanks for this video. Do I need to register my DJI mini 2 in Taiwan, since it is under 250 grams? I am working in Taiwan and have ARC and national health insurance card.

How are you? Hope all great

As far as is for recreational purposes, no need to register the Mini 2
But, as soon as you add any kind of accessory, like filters, stickers, legs, etc, the drone will be over 250g and you will have to registered.

If you fly the drone without any accessory, and dont plan to add any accessory, then you wont need to register the drone

If you fly indoors, you can add as much accessories as you want, and will not need to register the drone, as the CAA (the entity in charge of the airspace) do not regulate the indoor spaces

Thank you for your quick reply, one question more
I I add extension legs and it is still under 250 grams, that is Okay right? Because DJI mini 2 is actually around 239 gras and legs are 7 grams.
And last, if somebody asks me where is my drone registration, and I don't need one, do I just tell the person that I don't need any registration?

Are you 100% sure the mini 2 with battery and sd cardm and legs weights 239g?

Where  you bought your drone?

Only the one sold in japan weights less than 250grams with the battery, propellers protectors and sd card, if you remove the propellers and add legs, still wights less than 250g

The mini 2 sold in taiwan usa europe weights 249g with the battery and the sd card
So if you add anything it will add weight

Also the drone in the sides says 249g
If you add the legs, will definitely weight more
If you happen to crash it or cause any accident, and they found out the drone wasn't registered and it was weighting more than 249, you will get in deep trouble

Hi. I bought it 1 month ago in Germany, and everybody in Europe have put them on scale and they where around 239-242 grams, saw it on many YouTube videos. But no problem, I will try to register it in Taiwan, just to be on the safe side
